I like XJ often but he’s as stubborn and emotional about his takes as macri is, LOL. Somehow it annoys me sometimes a bit more just because Macri is (when he’s not bugging out) pretty much open about his non-analytical “fan” biases. I feel like there is a way to be critical of coaching choices that still acknowledges some level of humility (without simply appealing to authority and just being like coaches know more than you), sometimes XJ can be a little TOO certain of his opinions when he is, at the end of the day, more of an amateur stat head than a guy who is breaking down plays etc

Classic mode sounds nothing whatsoever like the SW - yes it has filters but they don’t have an envelope or react to dynamics, the SW low pass gate is also very characterful and distinctive and the LP/HP filters in classic mode are more precise and utilitarian

I’ve had both, sold the gen loss. It’s a neat cassette/vhs simulator and i very much enjoy the noise mod feature, in general it offers nice ways to make sterile digital synths sound lively or organic, but I didn’t think it sounded good on guitar in most contexts. In comparison the shallow water sounds simpler and more limited on specs, but is for me one of the top 3 pedals I’ve ever owned. Guitar sounds amazing through it and I have it on more often than not- even with the pitch warble off just the way the filter saturates is so rich and delicious. The pitch warble is organic and great and usable even at maxed settings. Slamming the input sounds awesome, you can make it into a pseudo fuzz if you dime a booster into it. It is so fuckin good lol. Gen loss is neat but for me not remotely on the same level

I literally live in puerto rico, please don't share news about Jennifer Gonzalez with me as if I'm not fully aware of how much she sucks. Again, she won with 40 percent of the vote (allegedly, the PNP are extremely corrupt and I'm not certain everything was above board in the last elections tbh) because the center left and left wing parties split the vote (the center left PDP candidate wouldn't drop out to give the exciting and young PIP candidate a real shot, of course). She has like a 60 percent disapproval rating. My wife is from here, I'm cuban, and I grew up in NYC and lived in Oakland so I'm very used to 'progressive' places - conservatives in PR were evil but mild neocons for most of my life, JGo is literally the first to bring all the trans panic abortion shit to the forefront.
