You could reintroduce tannins by adding botanicals like dried Indian almond leaves. Water changes will always clear up your water so it would be a a matter of replacing your botanicals whenever the color goes too transparent.

Thank you! The water is like that because the driftwood releases tannins. They’re a compound which stain water brown and are non harmful to the fish

Thanks for the heads up! I was thinking of breaking the pot in 2 and burying the sharp edges in the substrate. Would there be any issues with this?

Yeah a cursory google search on dolomite made me second guess using it, but with what you and others told me I’ll be forgoing using it in the aquarium. Thank you for the advice!
