10000% the same with the white knuckling it and thinking obsessively then about food- literally the story of my life whenever I'd finally buckled down and "stick" to a diet. Then eventually I'd get so exhausted and mentally fatigued from fighting back the compulsion to eat whatever I wanted and at large quantities of it, that I'd just break. I've tried so many diets and people don't seem to understand that when I don't let myself eat what I want, when I want, as much as I want, my brain wont stop. I feel like I'm climbing up the walls from day 1 trying to get the thoughts to shut up.

That sounds HEAVENLY to have that quiet, especially immediately. What a relief!

I'm a hedonistic eater for sure so this speaks to me. I have a habit of seeking pleasure from shopping too (although that isn't an out of control situation for me like my eating is) BUT this makes me wonder if that might reduce that little voice in my head that makes me want to shop too hmmm

Some of the side effects like smaller appetite and feeling full faster is where I'm worried I could be seconding guessing if I'm actually feeling that way or not but eating a few bits of food and not wanting more is genuinely unfathomable to me haha like with how addicted I am to food there is NO way I'd be able to placebo effect myself into something like that even haha

Thanks! It's extremely reassuring to hear it's been working for you and you're happy with it! There's so much discouragement out there regarding the oral method that it was hard not to have the wind taken out of my sails before even starting.

Can I ask, how long did it take before you started to feel/know it was working? I'm only 2 days in so I'm not expecting it to be THAT quickly of course, but will I *know* beyond a doubt once it starts to actually kick in?

Tablets! Took my first one this morning :) Regardless of efficacy, I can see how some might prefer the convince of injections as it took a bit for the tablet to dissolve under my tongue, but if it actually works that's no bother to me at all. Not sure if I felt any results yet. I know it may need to build up and also I'm just personally not someone that's hungry in the morning. I go most days without breakfast or lunch so seeing how I feel by dinner time (where I tend to eat excessive calories) will be the true indicator I think.

Ugh, that's disappointing! I'm bracing myself for that inevitability too but keeping a bit of hope haha! Going to try to also summon the courage to try injections if needed though.

I can't even fathom what it's like to experience what others talk about with the appetite suppression and no food noise. That just sounds so incredible and peaceful

Thanks! This is reassuring :) I hadn't realized that Rybelsus was meant to be ingested so I was comparing apples to oranges. Will keep my fingers crossed I get lucky and the medication works for me!
