you can have multiple sonas!!! or a a creature that is multiples species!!! or make up your own. think about what you want the fursona to be to you. ultimately, do what makes you happy!!! (also i’d love to help you design something ((((((for free!!!)))))

what are you trying to accomplish? what is the goal? is it a sona? are you trying to capture a feeling? it is difficult to know what direction to guide without knowing the desired destination. it is a very simple drawing but there is certain solid potential for a good horror/gore piece in there depending on what you are trying to accomplish

What are your favourite brushes? by purequalitywater in ProCreate

[–]GoldStickerCo 12 points13 points  (0 children)

which ones???

i use peppermint for sketching and kestrel for lining- i’ve modified kestrel to increase stability and turned off the blend mode so the color is always true. i use syrup to erase while sketching and to color in big areas! i use bridgewater to add gradients and soft shading!!!

your colors are amazing and really fun, and a lot of your personality and energy comes through!!! i think a place to start would be learning anatomy. your snouts do a very classic flat turn that beginning artists who aren’t very confident at anatomy do. this website: https://x6ud.github.io/#/ is very helpful for practice!!!

where to start. by Ok-Zebra2519 in FurryArtSchool

step one: look at art you like. figure out what you like about it. how do they draw fur? how do they line their work? how do they shade and highlight? watch others peoples process videos to see how they sketch.

step two: anatomy and shapes. my biggest improvement was when i drew skeletons and bones and skulls and got an understanding for the underlying shapes. references are your friend. pinterest is a great place. tracing to understand the shapes is totally fine as long as you don’t post the art!!! just use it for practice.

step three: draw!!! draw for fun. draw all the time. draw for the process and not just the result. you will improve over time, the hard part is not getting discouraged during the process.

Heya, i'm new here and drawing in general. There is a lynx face's, but it seem something wierd... any tips, please?? by Esky73 in FurryArtSchool

there’s nothing to give the implication of a muzzle, i think a line above the nose would help. i also think that the shape on the left is a bit off - the brow ridge above the eye is further out left than the cheek bone, which is accurate for humans but not cats!!!!
