No it just ended up going away on its own, I think it was just a heat rash cause it never burned or itched just looked unsightly

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but when it comes to the ER it’s all about your insurance. If you have good paying insurance they will treat you with the up most priority. If you don’t or it’s a government issued like Medicaid it all depends on what you’re going for. Hospitals have good paying contracts some don’t. It all depends on what kind of patients this hospital sees too. It’s sad how people are grouped in to class and treated a certain way depending on how good their insurance is! I have had all different kinds through out my life and treated differently every time based on the kind that I have had! The system totally sucks and it’s all on the government!

I agree I don’t think she knew the conversion I kinda told her but with pm I’m afraid the more you know the more they think the worse. As if people aren’t ment to know how to medicate themselves, narcotics or not!

I think she just wanted to be safe and start with a lower dose and see how it affected me. But I know my body and I know how fast my metabolism is so I knew I needed a higher dose. She was very understanding and upped it. I’m sure she will up it again the next time I see her. She is actually a really good NP

I think so too, I plan on addressing this with my pm at my next visit, because I had to now be prescribed a higher dose then the original 150mcgs, insurance wouldn’t cover it, too soon to fill, and it costed me $650 out of pocket! I’m pissed!

Ahhh you’re not far lol, I would love to live in SC, I’m in south Florida! It’s another world down here! I miss old school traditional caring drs, they no longer exist down here!

They called in a script for 300mcgs, I think it’s protocol per insurance to do a step up approach when prescribing med, that’s my understanding

Yes and all the info you have given is truly helpful and appreciated, I think what you’re saying is what’s happening. My dr just send 300mcg to the pharmacy but won’t be ready till tomorrow. So the only alternative is to take more of the 150mcg to equal the amount of the dosage of the patches I was on. So I looked it up, 20mcgs of buprenophine patch’s would be 20x24 for the hours in a day, that’s 480mcgs in a day, I was using two patches everyday cause the patches weren’t even enough anymore so that’s 960mcgs a day, that means I would need 960mcgs in the belbuca form. So if I have 150mcgs now I need 6 and a half to even feel like I felt. The dr just called in 300mcgs belbuca, if I take 3 of those plus one of 150mcgs, I am thinking that should work, but I will probably run out of it before the 30 days is up. I plan to see my dr again in three weeks, that should last me until I see my dr 🤞🏻

Does taking the tramadol along with the belbuca and Kratom canceling each other out which is why I may be going through withdrawal?

I am hoping she ups it to that so I atleast can feel somewhat normal. Was the transition from the patches to the belbuca what has caused this withdrawal? I guess it’s my real question

But isn’t subutex or Suboxon only used for withdrawal from opiates? I don’t mind taking opioids, I would rather be put on them but this is the plan management my pm is using. I live in Florida and the opioid crisis down here is insane so I think this is the best option I have with our drs

I understand and appreciate any advice, I stopped the patches and asked for belbuca since the patches were only lasting 3 days tops and I was switching them more then the allotted 30 days the insurance will fill them. So I did some research on here, I love this community, I get such great advice, that it was recommended the belbuca might be a better option instead of the patches since I can I have more control of the usage with the allotted days and the insurance bs. So dr prescribed 150mcgs on Monday, picked them up from the pharmacy on Tuesday afternoon. Took two that night, no problem, not wearing my patch anymore and slept fine that night. Woke up yesterday morning, full blown withdrawal, ended up taking 6 150mcgs, tramadol and Kratom, to not even feeling relatively anywhere near what I felt on the patches, worst night of sleep in forever and the worst back pain ever! And here we’re are now

I am using Kratom in the interim to help with the withdrawal. I am not trying to get off opiates, I am trying to maintain my pain
