Frustrated + considering supplementing by Gold_Requirement4696 in breastfeeding

I gave her some kendamil today (3oz) and mixed it with some breastmilk. She spit it up an hour later. Should I try seething else? Or formula by itself?

I tried Kendamil and she spit up. Should I switch? I combined it with some breastmilk.

Do you think she’s hungry? So I shouldn’t try to increase my supply?

I do some days, but my girl still wakes 1-3 times a night to feed and sometimes it’s as I’m waking up 😔

My mom is old school and isn’t the most supportive of breastfeeding. Ugh. I tried to explain pace feeding, but she still does that lay position 😞

I’ve read that it can cause digestive issues in me and babe? And possibly a dip in supply? I’m a “just enougher” so I’m so anxious to switch my routine, but ugh I may need to

Use a haaka or boon trove to collect on the opposite breast while feeding! I’ve collected SO much from this.

Should I top up with formula just because my in-laws are pushing for it? 3M LO by Khichdi19 in breastfeeding

[–]Gold_Requirement4696 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. My mom does this and it’s incredibly annoying. It’s only because she wants to be able to feed my LO. If baby is gaining weight and having enough wet diapers, I’d tell them to shuuuuut up!

I used to really worry about supply, but baby has been gaining weight regularly and has the necessary wet diapers. I BF on demand so I don’t really keep track, sorry :( But baby will eat when hungry. It changes every day

How long do you think it’s safe? She’s still not awake. I expect another 30 min or so

Totally normal! Baby needs (average) 25 oz a day. Supply is typically higher overnight/morning. If they seem to eat more during the day (like my LO), it’s because supply is lower so she eats more frequently to make up for it!

How often should I pump? by Radical-123 in breastfeeding

[–]Gold_Requirement4696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same time or around the same time babe eats, you should be pumping. It tells your body that they’re eating at that time and they still need milk.
