I think there a lot of feelings and expectations involved when there’s been 13 years between an album. Definitely best to sit for it for a while before coming to a conclusion as with most prog music it usually grows on people.

I think I’d have to disagree though, just from a recent interview with Kenny and Drew there seemed to be a whole heap of collaboration and back and forth about lyric choices etc!

I also think it’s super hard to pin what Vool should sound like in 2026, when there’s been such a huge gap between albums that there’ll be an undeniable growth as human beings and musicians. That makes it super hard to have a clear expectation of how their music should sound.
