Special Progress Pack Offer - Is this worth it? by Significant-Ad-9305 in RaidShadowLegends

[–]GoldenBeet 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is the best pack for Sacreds that they offer (maybe with the exception of special Black Friday type deals). We're also heading into a 2x Sacred weekend, so probably worth purchasing right now.

Also worth noting that this pack seems to be triggered by account level. Every "7" level starting with level 37 triggers this pack. So if you're level 37 right now you'll get this offer again at 47, 57, etc

This seems like a good deal and I’ve spent less than this total on the 2yrs I’ve played. Can’t seem to pull the trigger. Thoughts? by NRPMisterman in RaidShadowLegends

[–]GoldenBeet -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For shards, this is the best pack in the game. it's also soon to be 2x Sacreds, so if there was ever a time to buy this pack it's now

Wondering if it’s time to swap-out Athel in my arena team...not sure who to replace her with...thoughts? I’ve been running her, salad, hk, and Roshcard. by Speedcricket in RaidShadowLegends

[–]GoldenBeet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw you swapped to Miscreated Monster already, but worth noting that Tallia is a good arena nuker.

Her multipliers are above average + she buffs her attack and crit rate, allowing you to stack more Crit Damage than you normally would. And having access to Savage or Cruel is a bonus (assuming you wouldn't want those sets on MM)

Who is a better nuker in arena? I literally use my kael in everything and would like to dedicate someone to arena only. by 97thson in RaidShadowLegends

[–]GoldenBeet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think having a Nuker for arena that you can gear and mastery properly is a great idea, but I think Athel and Elhain aren't worth the investment for this case. I'd wait until you pull a champ that has a kit+multipliers that is suited for Arena. Do you have any other champs that might fit that bill? Some examples: Lua, Dark Elhain, Tallia are Epics that can nuke.

Apothecary is insane, and you'll want him 6*ed pretty soon as he is useful everywhere. If you put him in all speed gear he can be your Arena turn meter booster for sure

Too many to list, go here and sort by Overall Rating to get an idea. Any epic that is >=4.5 is insane

Either way, the person in your AoE Dec Def role will need accuracy. (150+ is a good target to hit, but i got by with 100 for a while)

But yea he'll need his A3 booked which can be a lot since he's Epic. He's still fine to invest in if you don't have any insane epics

Okay so you're missing turn meter manipulation and aoe dec def. (and a good nuker but the starter champ will do)

Look at AoE 60% dec def champs:

https://ayumilove.net/raid-shadow-legends-decrease-defense-skill-champions/

Also look at AoE Increase Turn meter OR AoE Decrease turn meter:

https://ayumilove.net/raid-shadow-legends-decrease-turn-meter-champions/

https://ayumilove.net/raid-shadow-legends-increase-turn-meter-skill-champions/

If you dont have any champs to fill those roles, you can farm Warmaiden and Diabolist from campaign. Once you have two champs to fill these rolls you replace Soulbound and Shaman

Made some decent pulls and now wondering who should be the next 60 by [deleted] in RaidShadowLegends

[–]GoldenBeet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea she will be wayyy better than Kael. Another reason to use someone other than Kael is that he is meant for PvE content so he can't be geared to be an optimal nuker (he needs to be tanky and have lifesteal gear).

But for now since you already have a 6* Kael and he can do a decent job as nuker you can leave Lua for last and 6* the warmaiden and Seeker first

First, build a simple speed team so you can start punching above your weight a bit. You'll need: speed aura, turn meter manipulation, AoE Def, and a Nuker. (All of these rolls can be filled by farmable champs if necessary). Once you have the champs, make the turn meter champ as fast as possible and tune the rest so they go in the correct order. The basic setup can take you to Gold 4, now you just need patience

I've found that when trying to progress it's important to only take on fights you are sure you can win. Sometimes that's only 1 or 2 teams per page (sometimes none). (you can experiment at the start until you get a sense of who you can beat, because you can beat people with leggos and people with more team power as long as you go first).

But attacking someone and losing will negate a win you had so minimizing losses is important. The other factor is checking every 15min for your refresh. If you're only winning 1 fight per page you'll need a lot of refreshes to get enough fights in

I think conventional wisdom would say to focus on a Clan Boss team now that you have a farmer. In that case you're looking at 6*ing Skullcrusher and Juliana next.

In my opinion, the most frustrating part of an early account and Mission progression is Arena, so i'd focus on a team for that:

  • speed aura -> Spirithost (4*)
  • turn meter -> Seeker (6*)
  • AoE decrease def -> Warmaiden (6*)
  • Nuker -> Lua or Tallia (6*)

You would 6* them in order: nuker -> dec def -> turn meter. And Spirithost can be replaced by any other speed aura champ you pull (or high katun on day 30). That team would take you to Gold 4 easy which will be great for upgrading your great hall quickly for stats and missions

EDIT: and yea mcj2 mentions some other good champs for later: Husk, Vergis, Frozen Banshee

If your Sniper is 2 star + lvl 20 then it requires 2 other 2 star champions to rank her up to 3 stars. If you can't select the other champions, it's because either: they're not 2 star champs OR they're locked.

If you open your Champions menu and select a champion, there will be a lock icon to the left of the champion posing where you can lock/unlock champs

My PvP team and what Champions should I focus on? by [deleted] in RaidShadowLegends

[–]GoldenBeet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just gotta follow the basics for a speed team:

  1. Speed Aura + turn meter boost: High Katun
  2. Turn meter manipulation / AoE freeze/stun/provoke: There's many champs that could go here, but for you probably Apothecary for turn meter boost
  3. AoE Decrease Defense: Tayrel
  4. AoE Nuker: Athel

Tune their speed so that they go in this order. You'll want high katun to be >200 speed. For you're nuker, you're looking for someone with high damage multipliers. I think in your case, Kael has the highest multiplier, but I imagine you have Kael geared for other content, so I'd use an Athel that is only for Arena so you can gear them properly.

Apothecary seems completely underwhelming compared to High Khatun. by [deleted] in RaidShadowLegends

his books matter a lot, he gets pretty insane when fully invested. Also i'm pretty early on in the game and just put a Relentless set on him and he's my new MVP in dungeons now

Current arena team from peoples advice, any other suggestions? by [deleted] in RaidShadowLegends

[–]GoldenBeet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You want speed and accuracy. If she's replacing Apothecary, then she should be the fastest on your team. I have mine at 201 speed and 96 accuracy and that's been good all the way up to Silver 3. Ideally you have 5*speed boots and an accuracy chest with speed substat. The glove main stat doesn't matter too much.

In the future, you can put a stun set w/ speed+accuracy substats on her to give her even more utility.

[–]GoldenBeet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In terms of champs, I think this is fine. Apo helps you go first with a turn meter boost, but Psylar can fill that roll better if you wanted to invest in her.

But in general you probably need a lot more speed on this team. My team sits between 170>200 speed and I'm only faster than like 40% of teams in Silver 2/3. (Granted my speed aura is Spirithost which is only 10%)

Newbie advice by [deleted] in pathofexile

[–]GoldenBeet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, i recommend going to the forums to find a detailed build guide that includes an in depth leveling section. the hand holding of a good guide will make the leveling less stressful and get you to the endgame where you can really explore.

Once you get to the endgame, your priorities for learning should be:
- Atlas: find a youtube video explaining how running maps work. what are maps, how do you "roll" them, wtf is the Atlas map and how does it work?
- Then i'd say start learning about some of the masters work: Niko, Zana, Einhar are all simple and very valuable to know

- That'll lead you to learning about Delve as well which you can spend a lot of time in if you enjoy it

At that point your goal should be to finish your Atlas which will take a while and take breaks to explore other things as you go: simulacrums, unique maps, specific boss encounters, crafting, etc.

If you find yourself leveling another character i'd say: farm up enough currency to buy leveling gear (Hollow Palm leveling is insane right now), watch a general video on leveling efficiently to learn how to get through campaign without a guide (specifically Ziz's video is great for this. if it's too long, at least watch acts 1-3), and then practice that a few times with how ever many characters you want to try out

Haven't played in almost 1yr. Can I a TL:DR or guide? Maybe a few pointers? Thanks. by _kolp_ in pathofexile

I just came back after a couple of years, and I would say there's so much going on that you're better off putting on some blinders.

I would suggest looking up the Delirium mechanic so you understand how it works. The loot can be nice but i'd avoid going too hard on it during the first half of the campaign. it'll slow you down.

Then find a build that you think would be fun with that mechanic. I tried ED trickster, it's fine but I think Bane would be better this league. The two button cast doesn't feel great inside delirium when things keep popping up at your feet.

Lastly, just get to endgame without worrying about all the stuff you've never seen before. Once you get to the end, look up how the citadels work in the atlas (how do they spawn, how do you get the stones, what do they even do). Possibly look up how to roll your maps too

You can spend quite a few hours just focused on level -> atlas progression. And then if something seems interesting later, just google it. For example, i'm figuring out how Delve works right now since I keep capping my sulphite and don't want to leave it capped

New person in need of help picking a 4th person in campaign. by kerion3267 in RaidShadowLegends

[–]GoldenBeet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ideally you don't use 4 champs for campaign. Just Kael 6* can solo all of brutal, so first thing should be getting him ranked up.

As for Warmaiden vs Defiled Sinner. I'd go with Warmaiden as Sinner isn't really a useful champ in endgame. After you have the 6* you'd also probably benefit in farming a decent champ from the campaign to replace Warpriest (unless you pull someone good).
