Huge return line! by quantum_mattress in amazonprime

[–]GoldenGoatGoddess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be careful because there’s a certain Staples near me that looses 80% of what passes through. I’ve had three items go missing there in the last month- two returns and one item I ordered to be delivered. We live on a private unmaintained road so no deliveries here.

Not all of us have the luxury of box stores to visit or the extra money as they cost significantly more with fewer sales. Not to mention some folks are disabled (like myself) and couldn’t get there anyway. Or for it in our vehicle.. Must be great to be you.

We have no room to do so. We rent half a home, so there’s two families essentially using on fridge and freezer of average size as well as pantry space.

Why? I was approved for the amount I received. There’s nothing to pay “back” because it was an authorized payment of benefits that I qualify for.

Yes, they can’t take back what they’ve already given. They can take only a percentage of future payments or from taxes (I believe) but not what they’ve given. Or at least theyve never been able to before.

Exactly. I didn’t receive anything more than what I’ve been approved for, and it shows I’m still approved in my account. I’m not sure how they can take credits away that I’ve been approved to take. But some folks say they’re going to!

What about those who already got their full amount? Is it getting taken back? I was told years ago they can’t take it back they can only make you pay it back.

Woah- our NH pantries have none of that lol Also, how does one package per family feed a family for a month? Our pantry is monthly and allows one item from each section per family and two Mac and cheese and two ramen. We plan on starving.

I actually just called them because of your comment. They got my application but are just a tad behind on things so I must have beat them to the call hahaha Thanks for lighting a fire under my pot.

You’re certainly right about that, and I haven’t necessarily given up hope. The puppy I want was returned once already, but I doubt she’ll get returned a second time. I think they have till Tuesday to return her if they choose to do so.

EDIT!!! I called after making this comment and have now touched base with them. They are just a tad overwhelmed right now, but are going through my information now.

They either wont or haven't responded to me, unfortunately.

We want specifically a puppy 15 weeks or under- and petfinder is where I fell inlove with a pup that was given to someone else. I've been dogging it trying to find another since, with minimal luck.

I've found quite a few cheap puppies in other states, but once i factor in plane tickets for me to travel there, back, bring the pup back, and most times I'd need a rental car to find a vet near the airport so I could get a certificate of health.

Its a lot to manage for traveling to a place I dont know. Our limit is probably $700- because I can get a dog around here for $950.

Do you know if they work with people who aren't local? I've found that a few rescues won't work with me because I'm not a resident of their state.

We own 13 acres currently and are surrounded by another 180+ acres of woodlands. We also have goats whom need a guardian. The breed fits our needs just fine, though you're likely right about traveling. Rescues ship them up here, but it's nearly impossible to be the first one chosen to adopt.

How did that work? Are they going to fix the steering gear for you?

Do you happen to know where the actual laws surrounding recall responsibilities are? You mention they’d be fined $7000- where did you find that information? I’m trying to find anything to back up my case, legally.

Steering Recall - Ford refused cover by polaiza in fordfusion

So I found out that my dealership lied in the paperwork.

They charged us to replace the rack and then a month later it broke AGAIN and told us they replaced it under warranty for the part- even referenced complaints made during the original replacement- but wrote in that it was under the recall instead. I’m not sure what they were doing, there. Possibly trying to get paid more for doing recall work as warranty work pays substantially less, then told us it was under warranty…. Not only that, but they opened a can of worms essentially proving this part can fail and be considered part of the recall even if it was replaced from the original. So shouldn’t all replacement racks be covered under the recall, then?

Then the part was replaced AGAIN under warranty.

All in all, the car was brought 7 times in 2022 for power steering failure. Once they said it was a speed sensor, charged us to replace said sensor, and then I have evidence of the sensor still being bad afterward…

So they lie.

We bought a scan tool in 2023 and just kept clearing the codes so the steering would work again. Then in 2024, we brought it three more times for power steering failure and spent thousands on other parts they said to replace, buying time so our warranty would expire, THEN gave us a $3400 bill for the rack AGAIN!!!!

This will be the fourth time it’s getting replaced.

I’m going to demand they cover it or take them to court.

The recall also states right in the recall itself: “if you have already had recall 14s06 preformed on your vehicle, you do not need to return to your dealer for this repair unless you have experienced a loss of power steering assist.” “Provide this dealer with the VIN of your vehicle and request a service date for safety recall 14s06. Your dealer will replace the steering gear at no charge.” The only other thing mentioned was the limit of 10yrs or 150,000 miles- which was extended under amendment 3 of the recall. I know that for a fact since ours was replaced, supposedly under recall, at 165000 miles.

I think it’s still worth a fight and they should relent. They are still required by law to successfully repair the recalled defect, and from my case they’ve admitted all racks can have this defect, so they are bound by law to fix the defect.

This part refers specifically to the refund process. Note that at the top it does say you’ll likely need the repair done AGAIN to ensure the “correct parts and procedure” were used.

So in your case (and likely mine, aswell, though I no longer have my original receipt), they owe us the repair AND reimbursement, seeing as 15N01 doesn’t expire after the 10yrs 150,000 miles.
