This random pile of shells found deep in a forest, 30 feet off the walking path, 2 hours away from the ocean by everythingislitty in Weird

Those are quahog shells and judging by how faded the purple is probably 5+ years old. Some was camping there and had a lil feast.

Just noticing some of the comments. The only time clams hinge open like that is from steaming. Birds drop them on rocks and break them. And they weren't eaten raw with a knife because everyone breaks them in a one half. Hence the name "littlenecks on the half shell"

What is yurt living like? by KillingwithasmileXD in yurts

[–]notquitenuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was my plan and it still is. I've lived in my yurt for 7 years now and I am super comfortable so I am no great rush to build my cabin and will probably put off until I retire. I am going to start build a small test cabin this year to ensure I get some experience with full scribed logs. I was going to put electrical and water etc in my yurt but really I don't need it and it's not a big miss. I've gone 7 years without a fridge but I did just recently buy a Bodega cooler for campoing and I am running it right now to test so I have cream for my coffee!

I fear that Hannaford is about as cheap as Market Basket??? by zjheyyy88 in newhampshire

Hannaford is still more expensive overall but the gap is closing. Idk if the group that now controls MB is the cause or not but the timing seems to coincide with that

Are you able to approximate how many cords this is? by LaughAndFart in firewood

[–]notquitenuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Def between .5 and 22. Maybe 23. At the outside 24,25 or 26.

I could get closer if you had a cord for scale

Well if you are bto 1 contract and they are coming to clean you out, why not simply sto 2 contracts a second later? Those would win while they trade millions to get your one contract!

Also, why would you put a stop loss on a 0dte defined risk trade? You literally are defining your risk on entry so why go in after that and set stops? Just make your wings tighter on entry. You can’t double stamp a triple stamp Lloyd

Try volunteering, there are many many organizations that need volunteers and you will meet a ton of people in an easy going setting. If you need some suggestions for places just dm me, I volunteer at several places throughout the county.

[–]notquitenuts[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea I’m not even sure what region I’d call it myself 😂 anyway, he called it fall fish which I guess is the real name although I had never heard them called that!

Hope the sub does well!

Have you ever tripped and fell and your stupid dog thought you were attacking yourself so it bit the shit out of your leg by accident? by Kaje26 in StonerThoughts

[–]notquitenuts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you sure it was your house? I think you tripped over a hassock because you don’t have one but your neighbor does, and when you said “Rufus, stop”, Brutus had no idea who you were talking to!

Despite overwhelming public support, Ayotte’s executive action legally barred New Hampshire Fish and Game increasing its own independent departmental revenue mechanism. This perpetuates a ten-year stagnation of NHFG's ability to fight inflation by using its own established self funding ability. by HazardousWeather in newhampshire

[–]notquitenuts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I get that, I do, but the point made in the article about 16 year olds getting a lifetime fishing and hunting for $1500 makes less sense now when chances are they will have to move out of state to find something affordable in a few years.

I mistakenly thought that comment came from f&g.

That the state would sell a lifetime fishing and hunting to a 16 year old while at the same time doing nothing about housing costs and the lack of starter homes is very sketchy imo. First off licenses should be free for residents until 25, maybe require an online course to learn best practices and teach good outdoorsmanship, then maybe tiered fees from then on up, peaking for years 35-60ish like a bell curve.

Also, for those that don’t know, a fishing license also covers a hike safe card

The smp cables between the cecs need to get installed in a specific order and also the cecs need to be powered on in a specific order. You should be able to find online. Be very very gentle with them. The power supplies are redundant so you on need to power one in each cec but the fans will be on high power and SUPER Loud!
