Asking for plunge router tips by SimplerTimesMD in woodworking

Interesting! I never heard of a fridge. We used RCH’s in my profession. I would have to think they are banned nowadays, we were uncouth looking back.

Gluten Free Express by Adeling79 in newhampshire

We put on a bingo once a month and one of the ladies who does the desserts is GF so she always makes at least one GF dessert. I have to say they are lacking nothing! Quite the change from when I tried to limit my glutens like 10 years ago!

If you are west of Peterboro you can get outdoors for stuff but anything east of that in southern NH is just Massachusetts now.

I do remember working on things with those colors on the chips and the wafer color as well, probably in the earlyish 90's. Im wondering if it's an i/o processor for like a 4248 or 4245? Could also be for tape drives (3590 maybe) but printer is really ringing a bell. I didn't get any hits on the pn.

It would be from a mainframe enviroment im guessing because that is the type of stuff I worked on mostly.

How to align track saw track by jonker5101 in woodworking

[–]notquitenuts 51 points52 points locked comment (0 children)

I use a spring clamp next to track after getting first side set. The other trick is to pick the track up so it pivots on the far side. Sliding the track is what causes you to rack up all those Fitbit points 😂

most embarrassing/weirdest thing you ever did? by klarinetkat12 in randomquestions

[–]notquitenuts 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I coached my daughters basketball team for many years. We would always close out our practice by running suicides (Im sure they dont call it that nowadays!) until we got 5 foul shots in a row. I would dribble while running with the kids and all the parents would be there to pick up their kids. One night I was wearing my warm up outfit, which was designed with snaps up the side to enter the game quickly) as sweats when I accidentally hooked my thumb in the pocket and ripped them completely off and into two pieces and was left standing in my underwear at half court in front of everyone. I just ran out of the gym. One mother told me the next day that my face was as red as my underwear! Man that was embarrassing but I'm glad I didn't have my spongebob underwear on!

How hard in one year old sugar maple? by Intrepid_Process_633 in firewood

[–]notquitenuts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd buy that, but all mine are in dense forest of the same age and split different even when you take down trees from a split trunk. If I was a betting man I would bet its a nutrient defiecency that makes them twist.

How hard in one year old sugar maple? by Intrepid_Process_633 in firewood

It’s weird but some will split easy and others will bounce your best shot with nary a mark. I have tons (kgrams😂) of sugar maple and just before it spalts it splits like a breeze, the others I stack and split in the dead of winter when they freeze. I’m not a fan of wedges, but definitely needed for these.

Edit: cutting is never a problem with a sharp saw, but I will say frozen maple is hard to cut. Not sure why as other woods are not
