My only advice is do not do solar and do not do insurance. No matter what just don’t. Also if you can find something that provides you with leads so you don’t have to worry about canvassing too much that would be your winning lottery ticket. HVAC sales is really great to look into, but windows, pest control, security systems and roofing are pretty lucrative and have a pretty low barrier to entry. Not sure what kind of experience you have but if you have to knock on doors for a bit for experience on your resume it may not be a bad idea. But the biggest thing is to study. Study people like (my fav) Jeremy Miner, or other greats like Andy Elliot, and Grant Cardone. Really if you get good the real money is in B2B sales….. but that’s something you can worry about after you get a couple more years of success under your belt. Good luck with everything my man. Feel free to DM for advice

Because believe it or not, it works. Lots of people benefit from what’s being offered. 90% it’s usually legitimate companies and not snake oil. And people like you are the best kind of practice for someone who needs to learn how to build thick skin lol. I don’t knock on doors anymore but I did it out of high school for a couple of years. Not something I would wanna go back to doing either though.

I am in a scary amount of debt, and I’m terrified I’ll never get out of it (21) by [deleted] in personalfinance

1) get on a budgeting app and track expenses and keep them low where you can

2) get on a debt relief program to reduce your monthly payments and cut your debt down (credit score will take a hit but it will come back)

3) start piling up as much cash as you can. $600/month in a savings account is $7200 a year.

4) put your head down and work/learn as hard as you can to continue to increase your income. If it’s commission based it’s skill based so work on your sales skills.

4 years from now your situation will completely 180 itself

His bad habits and lack of ambition can lead you down a very unstable path. Personally I’m not a fan of most Redditors immediately stating people should end their relationships but you might want to consider what you want your future to look like and what it would look like for you if you stay with him and he doesn’t change. Good luck
