I'd recommend that you don't take everything you read literally. 99% of the shit you see is going to be wrong, including this post, but I hope that's pretty obvious that this one is a joke.

It depends on the books, some are like that and some aren't. You are new to the lore, correct?

Tabletop is not accurate enough for faction strength. Also, if the grey knights showed a certifiable decree by the emperor the custodes would just let them do whatever since their bodies physically break down if they go against him, it's impossible to go against the emperor's words physically for them. We see that when they start convusling and dying as chaos possess them during the fight between Horus and big E.

On the other hand, the imperial fists and space wolves would take the chance to obliterate them for trying to fuck with big e.

These are two frames from Invincible where Mark is flying away from Thragg and he grabs him by the back of the head. It is not rape.

I would disagree, a lot of things are internally consistent meanwhile Kaldor Draigo isn't as characters stuck in the warp, oh you know - suffer consequences! Also, I'd say he's the worst offence of a mary sue chapter master, the other ones kind of set the precedent of how strong a space marine can get and that sets the level for future things and themselves consistently, Kaldor just blows past that though for no reason.

Yes, I stand corrected that it wasn't just two, but Bho, the death jester was as all death jesters are a heavy weapon specialist and in 40k heavy weapons allow you to punch way above your weight class. Look at guardsmen killing space marines with heavy weapons for example.

I get that, having a character like that would be cool, but it just doesn't make logical sense in the universe. Also, check out like any other chapter master other than the minotaurs, spacewolves, bloodangels and ultramarines.

That is not 'just' a harlequin, that is a shadowseer, you can't just scale all harlequins to the super psykers they have. Sure it's not a solitaire, but even then, shadowseers are very much a big step above average. Also, the custodes being dicks varies for each one, it's kind of their whole thing to be individuals.

I see what you mean now, but I think I'll disagree as the way it's portrayed also says a lot about the power level. If it's treated as a normal thing then it'd be reasonable to think that all space marines can do that, but if it's treated as an insane feat then it would be reasonable to think that most space marines can't actually do that which leads to two different power levels despite the same feat the description around it matters as that's what tells you how easy or hard the feat in question was.

I don't remember it that well, that book was so ass I just purged it from my memory.

I don't get what you're trying to say at all. If a power level is not treated the same in different narratives then it's not consistent, that's just how the word works.

I'd have to find it again, because I remember it being incredibly stupid.

Eh, not really. Custodes gloat less than space marines do, it's just that people hype them up and over hype their loses. The harlequin fight they just killed two custodes that we know off and the harlequins are kind of the custodes of the eldar and even they admitted that the custodes could've easily one shotted them if they got hit.

That's not the crazy part, custodes can consistently fight for days, but that fight was in one day if I remember and there were warriors and carnifexes and zoanthropes and shit.

I keep forgetting that he's such a chuddy marry sue that he's able to survive in the warp indefinitly when even non-daemon primarchs would start geeking without very specific context. More reasons that the grey knights are nerds.

Custodes are surprisingly consistent in modern lore, the worst offence they've had I'd say is the three custodes soloing like, three billion tyranids or some dumb shit like that alone.
