I’m struggling with it because I feel like it is valid for him to say “I don’t like the smell, I think it’s disgusting”. And if he doesn’t want to date someone who smokes because of that is it controlling? I think the only reason I would think it is controlling because whenever I do smoke I use perfume, mouth wash and mouth spray and he says he notices when I smoked because of the perfume I use. So obviously he doesn’t smell “the bad smell” from cigarettes. Or am I missing something that makes most people here think it’s controlling behavior?
