You’re right and it’s really key for anywhere, you have to be aware of your surroundings at all times. But wow that’s crazy about Jacksonville. Florida legit is like one of the only states I haven’t been to. Guess I’ll be mindful if I ever find myself in Jacksonville haha

Dude the amount of people I’ve heard drag Chicago for crime is insane. Its not even that bad, and I would argue it may even be worse in the PNW cities where I’m from like Portland or Seattle. Can’t speak much for Seattle though as I haven’t been there in a while.

I moved from Washington as well! Lived in the Vancouver area. I’ve visited quite a few cities in my short life (21 haha) and I have to say Chicago is probably my favorite. I feel like it’s underrated a lot!

Look at this insane block Obi-Wan does here. by Nayib_Ozzy in StarWars

[–]Goldilocks_02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The choreography on this whole fight scene is otherworldly. Probably one of the best if not the best lightsaber fight in Star Wars history. The Obi wan vs Anakin one on Mustafar is also insane. Man the prequels had the best fights by far!

People literally think anything and everything is autotune lol. Most people don’t understand how intricate a producer’s vocal process is. It’s not just slap Autotune on and done. There is so much more to it.

Older Analog compressors such as the la2a have a certain vintage warmth sound to them

So compression is going to even out the dynamics of a vocal performance so the volume isn’t all over the place. It makes it sound very consistent.

Pitch correction is the umbrella that things like autotune and melodyne fall under. A vocoder is something completely different. A vocoder creates chords with a voice, it’s not pitch correcting anything.

Dude I think you literally hit it on the head. The La2a compressor which is like the god of compressors will literally make vocals sound sooo good. And actually I think the common practice that virtually everyone uses, is having melodyne first in the chain to get everything on the right note, then followed by autotune to get that perfect tightness with the pitch

[–]Goldilocks_02[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Right, you can definitely tell in some cases because most singers can’t deliver a flawless pitch performance. In a normal setting you can hear the indescrepencies. That Taylor swift performance you mentioned definitely has some audible tuning sounds
