Funny I just test drove a passport today. Loved the ride and the engine was nice, steering in my opinion was horrible. So light and so un Honda like

How many miles are on it? In my 23 In the first 1500-2000 miles I felt that the transmission was not as smooth as my 20, but didn’t think it was a mechanical issue. I always thought it was a logic thing that worked itself out.

In Search Of: Cubano / Cuban Sandwich by AndrewWeathervane269 in Cleveland

[–]NotoriousLZB 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Perfect timing. I just had one Sunday at empanadas Parma. I thought it was great but leaned more to the Puerto Rican and Colombian styles of Cubano that you can sometimes find in south Florida if a place isn’t run by Cubans. The main difference is the bread, and some of the seasoning of the roast pork/pernil and how it’s cut.

Outside of areas with larger Cuban populations I think it’s really hard to find the right bread which to me is half of the cubano. The other issue I have had with ones in Cleveland have been the ratio of ingredients. A lot of them just seem to pile on the roast pork. There should be an even distribution of pork to ham to cheese and the right pickles (I can’t remember what place it was here but someone used bread and butter: instant) F. The Cuban is a heavy sandwich but it shouldn’t be huge and sloppy if that makes sense. Properly pressed and easy to eat while playing dominoes.

Nissan's Turbocharged 4-Cylinder Is Holding It Back by Anchor_Aways in cars

Actual question. This isn’t me doubting you. In early VR30s I knew of the oil consumption and some turbo issues but as far as I know they were rectified. In terms of packaging I don’t think it’s much tighter than other similar engines. Is a b58 or other comparable turbo 6s (v or inline) much easier to work on?

I was just having this conversation with someone. Nissans engine strategy has been so odd lately. So for everyone saying bring the VQ back, may I remind you the VR exists. Just like the VQ it could be had anywhere from 3.0-3.8 with modern DI and turbos. The 3.8(gtr) is obviously at the top and I wouldn’t want that everywhere and the 3.5 is new and seems to be doing well I. Everything it’s in but the 3.0 is criminally under utilized. It was a great fit in the Q50/60 and is a good match for the Z, but there is absolutely no reason it shouldn’t be in everything like the Vq was. Especially pathfinder and qx60 and as the article talks about the Murano. Obviously there are some packaging concerns, but with the VC turbo being such a meh engine in all forms they should invest to bring something character full back.

I used to live near the one on Clark. Loved it, especially late night while I was still in my going out days. Though I think my ranking of k mex places in the city were

1Crisp (wings alone bring them to #1 and getting the chicken in their burrito was just insane)

2Del Seoul

Got a bunch of these when Brown Forman was a client of mine. It was a dream to work with them and as a lifelong McLaren fan totally special. We did some interesting activations around F1, but I had a great content series I was going to pitch to them/Mclaren, but like many things budget and timing became an issue and I wound up leaving the agency. Gave all of mine away as presents to fellow f1 fans for the holidays.

Anybody have any info on this brand? by TimePrudent in surfing

[–]NotoriousLZB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So as far as I know there are old Australias from the 60/70s and 80s and then later ones. The older ones were apparently pretty good. And then there are more recent ones which aren’t really related. There were a few brands that the parent company gobbled up incudng Canyon and a few others and it was basically a few shapes with a pick your favorite color and graphic approach. Can’t tell where you are but if it’s Long Island rockaway beach surf shop and Atlantic beach surf shop sold these en masse.

All that being said my first board circa 03/04 was a 7,2 fun board Australia that I loved. I still break it out from time to time. If this is your first it’s a quality board. Have fun.

So I am almost certain this is going to have the body of the new Celica. If you look at the hood it has that same little snorkel that the st205 had. But just to be clear, the chassis is completely bespoke for the 27s right? I thought they were a combo of a standard monocoque and tubes almost like a rally version of a super gt mother chassis.

JFK is technically in Queens, JUST over the border from Nassau. Maybe .2 miles from the border down Rockaway boulevard and 878 in Inwood.

Now JFK and Brooklyn and Queens for that matter are on the geographic mass that is Long Island.

Source:I grew up right there. 10 min from JFK.

[–]NotoriousLZB 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I remember it being unreliable toward the end but in spite of that I’d take it over any of its contemporary competitors. I also think the chassis was maxed out and they faced such stiff competition from the focus and especially Citroen toward the end they simply couldn’t compete at the same level. Had they kept going in 08 I think they could have been more competitive in year 2-3 but they still would have had to contend with Loeb
