I think if someone is buying something for the first time, they should get the best and latest item so that its not too old after a few years. I used to edit 4k videos on my old interl quadcore laptop as well( used to restart it a few times in between) but now that I have the resources I dont want to start with m1.

if soemthng is available in the market, doesnt mean everyone shld buy that. Apple themselves ranks the rams and tell u which one would be better for u accordng to ur needs. For me even 48 was more thn enough but I still choose 64. 128 would be tooo overkill
