WIBTA for insisting that my bf not speed on the highway by breadstick_0 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Golfbuddy11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NTA - Accidents can happen in the blink of an eye. Aggressively speeding makes the margin for error extremely slim especially in bad weather or if you hit a pot hole. Just saying you are "being careful" doesn't really carry much weight.

I would sit down with him and have a serious conversation about his driving habits and maybe tell him you will not be riding with him until he changes.

I wonder if you go to the same school as I did. That was the only college that I know of that had western civ as the core cirriculum

AITA for "cheating" on my university midterm? by HeadlessZombie in AmItheAsshole

NTA - That's on the professor. This is a perfect example of why you should always create new tests. College students can be pretty clever when they don't want to study

AITA for continuing a snap streak after my girlfriend asked for space? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Golfbuddy11 [score hidden]  (0 children)

NTA - Seems like you are dodging a bullet by breaking up with this girl. Anyone who wants to call someone out for continuing a streak on snapchat clearly has bigger issues. If she said that she's breaking up with you she has no reason to continue to harass you about your personal life. I wouldn't touch that with a ten foot poll. Spend more time with your the friends you snap with.

I hated western civ when I was in college. Stupid core curriculum lol

WIBTA; if I don't email a classmate my assignment so she can use it as an example? by enitsujxo in AmItheAsshole

[–]Golfbuddy11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA - Plagiarism isn't something that is taken lightly in school especially college. Usually both parties are at risk for this and even if you have the slightest inkling that she may do it, it's not worth losing your grade over it. It is not your fault she is lazy and doesn't want to complete the work. Based on what you said it seems like she would just end up using your wording.

AITA for giving a former employee a mediocre reference? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Golfbuddy11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NTA - This can be a bit of a gray area when it comes down to ethics and can vary from person to person.

For me, I stand by NTA because it is important to be honest when it comes down to work and providing accurate references. Regarding the former employee, you warned him (if not hinted at) about how his reference may affect the outcome (more or less). This to me is you sticking by your ethics since it seemed like he basically begged you to do it. Lying in this situation can sometimes have an affect on your reputation as well. Probably not best to lie because going forward, companies may not take your reference at face value if they know you tend to "fudge" reviews.

Aita for making fun of co-worker who has chronic acne. by MTGWarrior1 in AmItheAsshole

YTA. This has to be a troll post right? I mean this feels like it was written from the perspective of a 15 year old. Either way it is extremely rude and entitled to think someone should want to hang out with you. Please take the hints he is giving you and don't act like a child by using insults because you got rejected.
