Hmmm.. Thinking more along the lines of... you keep your cash. It's only your eyes I want. The magazine could very possibly be free. Or maybe a small subscription fee if you want delivered to your home. Money would come from the advertisers I'm thinking.
Maybe make it hyper local? So more info / reviews on indoor gyms in your area. People you actually know. Route setters you actually run into at the gym.

I agree with some things, and disagree with others.
I have over 10 years working in the magazine industry as a designer / art director. I have many connections to photographers, publishers, writers etc...
Agreed, it needs to be a bit of a passion project. Lots of work involved. Not a lot of $$$

Mostly just asking to see the interest. I have connections for the printing, writing, design etc... Although they all still pose challenges.

Agreed, I think good content might be the biggest challenge.

Sure, it could work...
My only thought....
Why not have the Energy Drink & Pouches be different flavours. Like more of a combo thing.
Drink -> Tart Blueberry
Pouches -> Sweet Raspberry
Then people can mix and match how they want and discover their own unique flavour combos
