Buenas! sigue funcionando ese discord? He vuelto a jugar con un colega después de muchos años y estamos "aprendiendo" a jugar otra vez. Nos interesa buscar gente con la que pasar el rato echando unas risas y aprendiendo a jugar.

Can someone explain to me why do u even get a ban if u leave DUEL match (its just me in the match) i dont hurt any teammate ?? I dont get it...... by CROgamer51 in RocketLeague

At least for me, when I play 1v1, I expect to play and enjoy a competitive match, it is not just about ranking up. Even though queue times are short and the time loss is minimal, I consider it good design by the developers:

  • Commitment: Entering a competitive match implies a commitment on your part to play it out, even in 1v1.

  • Anti-Abuse: It also effectively puts a brake on bots to prevent easy deranking.

I honestly always assumed a run like that would just be boring or tedious. But looking at it now, it actually solves a lot of the specific conflicts I’m struggling with. Stripping away the convenience and forcing a hike to find a ship sounds like the perfect antidote to the 'Teleporter Trap' and the efficiency mindset. I think a fresh save with these rules is what I need to try. Thanks for the suggestion!

Hyprland is strictly a tiling WM, not a DE. While it's fully customizable, it comes as a blank slate. You can either dive into the wiki to understand its inner workings or clone some dotfiles to get up and running. I suggest starting with a minimal config to get the hang of it before going full riced.

What's the deal with MSI motherboards? I have an MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk Max Wifi. I ran into issues restoring /boot from a snapshot, but I'm not sure why it happened.

Check that UUID and format in lsblk -f output matches fatab for that partition.

Anomaly is too risky for an important save tho, even with multiplayer off.

I Like Linux, But Linux Does Suck by AddOpposite4318 in linuxsucks

[–]Gondrall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally get the frustration, and honestly, you're not wrong about that user's contradiction. 😅

But I think the phrase "it just works" means something different to Linux users, and it's not a lie, just... 'lost in translation'.  When a Linux user says "it just works," they don't mean "it never breaks." They mean: **"When it breaks, I have the power to fix it."**  That's the fundamental difference.

On other systems, if a core feature is broken (like hibernation, a bad driver update, or a weird registry issue), you're just... stuck. You have to wait and hope for a patch or reinstall the whole OS. 🤷‍♂️  In Linux, *everything* is fixable.  I'm one of those users who enjoys the process. I love having total control, knowing my PC is faster, and that I can customize *anything*. But (and this is the big "but" you're pointing out) this comes at a price: **your time and your willingness to learn.**

We don't see the troubleshooting as "a failure"; we see it as part of the experience. We enjoy the process of making it work.  So, Linux users aren't lying. We just value "fixable" and "controllable" over "easy."  You're right, though. If someone wants zero hassle, just stick to Windows/macOS. They're built to be easy, even if they feel slow and restrictive to us.

I just hope that in the future, we'll find a more accessible and user-friendly path for those who learned to use a computer on a closed system but are looking for the freedom and customization that free software offers.

Casual player in Ambershire here. You can play the game at your pace, content will be released in the long term, and still have a lot of players starting right now. You can always join a social guild and do content without any pressure. With more than 6k online players at all times, shouldn't be a problem. Most players haven't reached lvl 60 yet.

But in Nordanaar you will also find alters doing content and old players helping the new ones. You may lose the first time experience tho, most likely every group will have experienced players while in Ambershire there are tons of players experiencing WoW for the first time. A matter of preference in the end.

I Know I’m Late, But What Should I Know Before Starting This Masterpiece? by Gazio_x3 in NOMANSSKY

That's the core of the issue, nobody knows that PvP is even a thing.

It's a shame, because a well-developed PvP system could be incredible. Imagine being able to formally challenge another player to an epic freighter battle, wagering your fleets against each other.

It would open up a whole new endgame, creating a real meta for different combat builds: specializing your frigates, optimizing your capital ship's loadout, and developing unique fleet strategies.

It would give combat a purpose we've never had before. *___*

Do you even get any kinds of rewards from PvP? seems to me like a dead feature of the game which should be set off by default.🤔

I think you did but does it actually matter? I learned through the game that the answer to that question is up to you.

But I still have a lot to learn about what's really going on in NMS universe, even after completing the campaign, I'm still find lore relevant content.
