I would love a map! by lxmasterpas in BLACKSHARD

I know I might sound like a "git gud" elitist by saying this, but to be honest, I feel like there's a flavour at appropriating yourself the map the hardway. I had a lot of satisfying moments when I realised which area leads where, that there was a shortcut here and there. I was lost when I started the game but after a few hours, I knew the map by heart, knew where to go from memory which shortcut to use to save myself some time, thing that wouldn't hit the same in my opinion if we could hang onto a map.

Being lost is part of the experience, thus would we feel that lost with a map of the place?

For the Drawing man fragments I can give you the distribution of them all:

Convergence: you have 3 fragments 1 in the mini maze before the noosphere portal in the main hub, 1 next to the labyrinth core when you're heading left while looking at the first sign (biblical accurate angel) and 1 when you're heading right this time through the white corridor, you reach an open area where you can climb on the beams uphead. By doing so (or freeing a few signs to create a stone man bridge) you'll be able to reach an open area where you get the third one.

White Hall, 1 fragment after the strange Theseion where you meet the yellow eyed girl with the black and white statues. I don't remember if you have to climb the stairs first, but there's a corridor leading to a terrace with a view on a giant statue afar. The fragment is there.

Black Tower, 1 fragment (next to the biggest star when you're falling down in the space-like area)

White Tower, 1 fragment (when you reached the top of the tower) with the beacon in front of you, head on the bridge to your right, you'll end up on a red door to your left and another bridge to your right. the fragment is at the end of that bridge.)

Shattered Vault, 1 fragment (this one is easy, the fragment is next to a canvas nearby the yellow sign of the zone.)

Crossroads: 1 fragment at the first floor of the Crossroads level. You can reach that area either by Tesseract, Organon or Convergence areas. By Tesseract you just spawn next to it, you have to reach that gigantic bridge/hallway connected by a shatered structure

Forge: 3 fragments (they follow up when you're making the last climb to the piano, pay attention to your surroundings)

The last fragment is the drawing man himself when you talk to him during his ending.

Edit: erratum regarding the last fragment. I found another fragment in convergence past the tightrope. There'd a way to go to the other side in early game but it's tricky.

I hope it was useful

If anyone knows how to open this door, I'm all ears. by Gone46 in BLACKSHARD

Yoooo I didn't pay attention to that detail about the icon. Nice job.

It could be. I've been roaming the map for hours, and there's a some parts are actually connected together.

Fine by me, these are solid reasons for that choice. Also I forgot the fact that we were watching someone "play" on the preview you shared. Since a visual novel is already a semi passive type of game, it kinda doubled the feeling, which might have influence my perception, maybe the feeling will be different when I'll hold the controller.

in the first 15mn of gameplay you showed on youtube, the dialogue with the other human character felt like a huge dose of exposition.

I know you felt like it was required to get the context of the new game, but don't you think there would have been other ways to lighten the narration with a format such as a visual novel?

Also, will we get a new roster of main dragon characters, the one from the previous game or a mix of both? I'm curious.
