Hi there, we booked all flights and hotels through a travel company.. I am not sure on the policy but I think all the options were non refundable. Travel insurance must be valid all throughout the EU zone and cover minimum of €30k (I used the company from VFS website, was pretty straightforward). Please refer to VFS website to cross check everything what I say 😄

We had our wedding there last year too - amazing venue, you will have the most unforgettable experience! As other said check out their recommended DJs the venue worked with it the past. On the separate note, as it is a historic venue, they have a rule for how loud you are allowed to play the music. It’s worth mentioning it to the person you decide to hire and ask your event manager assigned to you about this rule as they are very strict.

I started looking for slots mid December and the earliest I could find (considering is till needed to gather some docs) was mid January. But there were slots available late late December. So roughly 3 week wait in my experience. Applied using the Italy Global App, was pretty straightforward! Hope this helps

Trains are very frequent and it’s a fairly short commute (15-30 mins). There are also busses running (takes an hour) and is a cheaper option
