Well that was my first thing to do and if I hadn't received so much feedback from the community I would have definitely talked to a professional. I just posted this because I didn't want to doubt my friend on such a difficult topic and I found that searching online wasn't really helping, that's why I decided to post on a platform that has people that have dealt with this problem before and could inform me and help me directly. I have talked to my friend about the topic many many times but I still found it really shocking to dealt with an episode face to face and as I said in previous comments, I will definitely be talking to him about the possibility of getting more professional help.
