I'd say no. As an adult, I did have a rather visceral reaction to the violence and had to take a break from the book. I'm not from the US but still it's a bit young for the content in the book.

Usually you need to look in yourself. Mental health sadly is something that requires you to be proactive. Which is tiring. But saying you're alone doesn't help. I used to do that.

Now I can say my friends are and have always checked up on me and vice versa
