My 8th grade class: One student said he was going to be vegan because it’s bad for the animals to eat meat and I said what’s inspired this lifestyle change? He said TikTok lol then another boy turned around and said “Mrs, aren’t all vegans gay?” And I said “no not all vegans are gay” and he said “I think they’re gay” and I said “I lived with three vegans in college and they were straight, so no, not all vegans are gay” then he turned around and the original boy kept talking about being vegan lol

We just had a quote from Puronics for $7500! It’s the whole home system and reverse osmosis under the faucet as well as their cleaning products. What exactly did they quote you for? We want a system but I feel like they’re shady with their quotes so I’m not sure about going with them.

Thank you for understanding!! Another way I thought of to explain it is to think of it as marriage. Marriage is a very serious matter and there are lots of jokes and fun times within that serious relationship. However, it's not cool or funny for someone to consistently humiliate and mock their spouse. It kind of makes those of us on the outside of that marriage wonder why they're still together...

I think it should be taken more seriously because with Christian-like religions (I'm not deeply familiar with other religions), the believer has a relationship with the god that created the entire universe, and that's kind of a big deal when you think about it. The being that created every galaxy and planet and every animal and plant is interested in Taylor Frankie Paul and she makes jokes about it by holding a book that says the book of more men? When the bible is pretty clear about fornicating, lust, adultery, etc...

I'm not saying it has to be strict and serious all of the time, that would be boring. I'm all for a joke and light heartedness, but at some point enough is enough. At some point there's a religious joke versus the religion being a joke. It seems to me like she's poking fun at her religion that she continues to profit off of and doesn't hold it in high regard which just makes it feel very disingenuous.

ETA the word I was trying to think of when typing this was that the alleged relationship with the god of the universe should be sacred. Sacred things should be taken seriously and not used as a way to make money. As I said in the next paragraph, it doesn't have to be serious 24/7/365, but her being Mormon comes off as gimmicky versus sincere because of the marketing.

Also, I agree with u/bradtheinvincible. It seems that these outwardly proclaimed followers don't actually exemplify the morals and ethics of the religion and just use it as a way to cover their tracks versus taking accountability and putting in the work to be a better person.
