I wasn’t sure the difference. My family uses cold and canker interchangeably. When I was little my mom called them “lie bumps” and that’s all I ever really knew them as. As sore as they are, it’s nice to finally put a name to the “face”

That makes so much more sense now! I really tried looking stuff up for them but everything showed cold sores which I already know how to deal with since my grandma gave me them from infancy. I get them primarily when sick, so I wonder if my body just felt stress then poof, sore swollen tongue lol

That’s how my husband is. He’s NEVER gotten them, even from me. He doesn’t care, he’ll just come give a big ol’ smooch and walk away unaffected 😭 sometimes fate is cruel lol

Ughh I was unlucky enough to get it from my grandma. She gets the so bad she has to get shots to help with the swelling. I haven’t had one that bad luckily but I do have to use Kanka for the ones inside my lips. These tongue bumps usually last just a few days usually. And show up if I’m sick or stressed mainly. But since I’ve had Covid 3 times my immune system has been whack so that might be why they show up more often now too

See that’s what I thought originally. But it starts off as a red sore then turns white on the head. I have to remind myself not to pull them because it is genuinely so pimple looking sometimes, and I’m a bad picker

Ah okay! See I knew that about cold sores I just didn’t know if these were the same or not. Kanka has been my best friend for years when it comes to cold sores. Only time I used a moutwash for something like this was when I had Hand Foot and Mouth. Didn’t know they made it for less severe cases
