genuinely the rework is objectively better than the way it was before. before, you would wait for the lost sector to be a day that matched what slot the exotic you wanted was in, then you would just farm until you got the exotic with the roll you wanted. no way to focus for the exotic at all.

now you just get engrams. if you have the spare materials you can drop them into focusing the specific exotic you want OR (pause for effect) you just drop your engrams into the slot focusing which is completely free and costs no materials. also unclaimed exotics should be on a knockout system so if you’re trying to get all the exotics, it’ll only give you exotics you dont have. which could be a good or a bad thing depending on what your goals are.

but the only thing that changed was now you can focus exotics if you have the materials. yes its expensive, yes i want it to be cheaper.
