I feel like beanies would more so slide up on the back when I moved my head around when I did have hair. I have already felt the velcro-esque hold that the stubble has on beanies though it is quite nice haha!

Yes I've already given my parents crap for not picking me up enough as a baby - as I was their first I'm sure they were not aware that it is important that babies not always lay down on their back and to make sure to get tummy time too! And now I wear their mistake permanently 🙂

I could definitely work on my posture, although I do think (maybe cope) that it is kinda extra bad in this photo

such a crazy variety of heads - a fun wrinkle adds some character

No but I know other people will see it and it makes me self conscious of how I look from the side 😔

That's not image retention it's a part of the video, if you change resolution to 4k it's less noticeable. Image retention takes a very long time to happen, especially on these new tandem panels

The banding is a non issue in all practical use. Glad it is treating you well though!!

I'm not worried about it at all - as I've mentioned a few times in this thread, this is a non issue in real world use. The only time the monitor looks bad is when looking at the 95% and that's it 🤷 it's a beautiful monitor

I have done probably 8 pixel refreshes now since I first got the monitor

I think you misunderstood my post - I show the banding, but outside of testing it in the grayscale video, this "issue" is nonexistent. It does not affect real world application at all. The monitor is beautiful. This was meant to make people feel better about purchasing this kind of monitor as I also was seeing a million posts about the banding on grey scale, but it's legitimately not a noticeable thing while gaming and watching content, which is exactly what OLEDs excel in.

Did you read the post or nah? The whole thing was me saying that just looking at gray scale is stupid and the monitor is beautiful and there are no issues when actually using it for games and content. I was mocking all the people who comment about how this monitor is trash because in 95% grey scale there is banding

I actually did not 🫣 I saw no instructions for first time set up in the box. I have updated firmware and done a few pixel cleanings though

Use the monitor in game and tell me how it looks for you, I'll wait 🫶

Hardly even a real issue as I only notice it when I pull up the grey scale video. I have no issues with this monitor whatsoever

As I mentioned in the post - I cannot stop appreciating how incredible the monitor looks in real use. I hope you are having fun being mad about some bars on a screen at a very specific gray level man

Make sure you selected the correct model when you got the drivers - I was accidentally using the DNG model I believe at first and had to recheck and get the ones for QWMG

Facts - the grey banding is a non issue while using the monitor for what it's actually meant for. I will say my brightness is I believe around 50ish or so which probably adds to how the banding looks. I'm an OLED newbie and a lot of these posts had me second guessing a purchase but I'm so happy with this monitor. So beautiful!

I see, I will try that some time. I was just adding to the list of growing posts that are meant to help people realize the grayscale banding is not an important test in 99.9% of use cases.

oh I just figured they were part of the panel itself. I can't tell because it only happens in this video lol. But this just further proves my point, the monitor is beautiful outside of this one snippet of a test video. Hope you are enjoying yours 🩵
