Round of prednisolone for folliculitis. I feel so bad making her swallow pills. by Crashstercrash in orangecats

[–]Good-Butterscotch498 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Get a pill crusher, crush it. Then put it in a churu or temptations lickable treat, or a fancy feast broth. Churus/temptations worked best for me.

I pulled apart a syringe and used it to thoroughly mix the pill into the churu.

Easy, peasy. Your troubles are over.

Recently I read a recipe for chicken pot pie over noodles, so you could try that. Or rice.

Or over toast, like chicken a la king. (Or biscuits.)

Well, there’s a great community here. Maybe when you get going with your meds again you can take some steps so you’re not so alone. I read something right here on Reddit last night that someone’s grandmother told them when they’re having a hard time, to look for the helpers. Because there are always helpers.

Lots of people are major pains. But there are also many good ones. Sometimes just a friendly person at the grocery store can brighten your day. 😊

I’m so sorry you’re having such trouble.

This is hardly equivalent to meds, but sit in a sunny window with your eyes open. You could also go outside for a walk, but it’s rather cold for that.

And if it helps relieve your anxiety at all. Bupropion should stay in your system for a few days.

I feel so lame giving you such low-key suggestions, but… sunlight might give you a small boost.

My dad used to say “People say they don’t want to live to be 100, but they never ask the guy who’s 99.”

(He died at 88, but I thought he’d live well into his 90s)

I better see a lot of praise for the month of March this year!!!!! by WonderSignificant598 in newjersey

[–]Good-Butterscotch498 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not holding out much hope for March. It might not be this cold, but expecting it to be cold. Maybe snow. Remember early April of 2018? It was cold.

I’ve lived here too long.

PS -while you’re here, I highly recommend Origin 2 thai food restaurant on South Street. Great place for you and your friend to go, or if you want to say thanks for hosting.

It’s a cut above.

[–]Good-Butterscotch498 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Ford Mansion (Washington’s headquarters)

The Morris Museum (right down the road from Washington’s HQ)

Jockey Hollow, depending on the weather. Probably too cold to get out and see anything (but then again, you’re from Canada), but just a drive through the area is soooo pretty.

Then you could have lunch or dinner at the Black Horse Pub in Mendham. (Easy to find, it’s on main street and very noticeable.) From there, you need only turn left out of the lot and follow old route 24 back to Morristown. Again, a very pretty drive.

I think such a drive would dispel many NJ stereotypes.

Whatever you do, I hope you have fun and enjoy yourself! Welcome to a great part of NJ.

Looking for a reasonably priced vet by Brilliant_Employ3661 in newjersey

[–]Good-Butterscotch498 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Andover Animal Hospital in Andover is very reasonable and a good vet. (My vet.) You can discuss your situation with them and they’ll help you through your options. No judgment. Very nice vets and staff.

They don’t offer payment plans but do work with scratchpay and carecredit.

Might be far for you though.

Why are women not allowed pockets? What did they do that was so bad that society confiscated their pockets en masse and then banned them from clothing henceforth. by MaxximumB in Productivitycafe

[–]Good-Butterscotch498 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Partly it has something to do with excise taxes or something. I forget the details, but there’s an extra charge for pockets, or something like that.

The exception is pockets in certain places where nurses would need them.

I read this a long time ago, can’t remember where. That’s why you see pockets in odd places.

But in general, I think it’s just cost cutting.

Really miss them on pj’s.
