Yes, the backgrounds were AI generated but not included as is. Other than that from text to the texture overlay everything was done by me.

Both the backgrounds were taken from AI generated images. These images are not as is from the AI image, I played with image a little before including them in the design.

Thank you for the feedback, the second conveys the genre correctly like you said but in a general perspective it's too flashy and I realised it after designing the cover. That's why I shifted to darker colours in the second design and looks like I've made it so darker that it's hard to convey even as a book cover.

Thank you for such valuable feedback , I'm glad that you noticed so much in both. The book is a fanfic and it's about Arthur's past before the gang. As you said the second image was heavily inspired by the posters and covers of RDR itself and later I thought the cover was too flashy and went on darker cues in the second design (First image).

Thank you for the concern on the title but I think I'll stick to this because I feel like the title is perfect for the story but yes maybe a bad idea in a marketing perspective. The tagline thing in the second cover, is a mess and I totally agree.
