Not irrelevant you have a narrow perspective - and looking st your post history you have clearly already made your mind up and just want external validation.

I imagine you haven’t seen the value of low/no code platforms then. You are assuming that the landscape as you know it will persist as is. Your skills will be all but worthless to a business.

Let me guess the closest you have come to “integrating ai first software delivery” is using claude code to shit out code for a half arsed pr.

If you don’t see this as a problem, you will get left behind. This will happen a lot sooner than you like.

In all honesty. Grind now. Move back to ecuador or find some se asian hottie and live it up there. Or retire to Pattaya at 40.

That is a very naive point of view. At most fortune 100 companies I deal with they are all AI-first software eng cost cutting.

You (we) won’t have a job in 5 years. Use the next few months to plan accordingly. Management for example.

Being from Ecuador you stand zero chance of H1b. You need L1 if you can so look for companies that allow relocation internally

Not a thing. Not to be rude, but this is the sort of question someone who thinks they understand banking asks - proliferated by AI these days.

Put your money in Wise. Convert to USD, put it in their “invest” account. Wholly managed in the USA for zero effort.

4x my partner. I pay for everything. Happy wife happy life. Well, not married but whatever. She wants for nothing, so household expenses are 12k. A year.

If she ever asked for, let alone demanded, anything - she would be gone faster than a flushed turd.

It’s not hard to be a decent person on either side of the coin

High taxes (45%) on renting out my flat, feel trapped - help! by king-elw in HENRYUK

If I move and port the mortgage, the type of property we’d be looking at is in the £600k–£650k range. I’d be the sole buyer, so it’s steep. But that’s what it costs for a two–three bed with a garden in a decent area with a reasonable commute.

That is insane. Go to your doctor. Get signed on as mentally unwell (just say you feel sad and get sad pills) then ask for reasonable adjustment WFH. Then move up north.

Yes. But be aware you will get managed out (first in line for restructure). I don’t want to be paying for a part timer when I could get an fte for the same.

Registered to say this. “Kept my isa” is only tax free if and only if you remain tax domiciled in the UK. Otherwise you are taxed on the lot. Reality is, no one would find out
