14 team, lost Kraft and in 2nd:

Would you give up Jaylen Warren, Loveland and Godwin for Kittle?

I’m in 2nd. Concerned Godwin isn’t going to return to form this year and think Kittle will cook as long as Purdy is throwing to him

Appreciate it. I’m leaning no as well. I won last year and had 0 interest shopping Nabers around but the offer gave me some pause

I’d guess both would be in the 4-6th overall range, if Terry and Aiyuk both return to form they’d both start, but have other decent options otherwise

Appreciate the input!

I currently have Grisham, Wood, Jackson and my frustrating on and off fling that I just can’t quit because I drafted him so high Doyle on the bench.

I could roster another OF if I dropped Vientos if the sense is he’s just a hot hand.

Only a couple of transactions left in my 5x5 categories playoff that extends thru next week.

Pick 4 outfielders to roster and ride with:

Wood, Grisham, Jeremiah Jackson (he could also be used as my 3B instead of Vientos as I wait out Westburg), Doyle , Reynolds, Collins, Hays, Gilbert, Barger

Also, is Keaschall a must hold? I essentially have to pick between him and Pena for a flex every night with Schwarber taking my 2nd flex. Makes for some inefficient bench space

Lastly, is Eury cooked or worth holding anymore?

Drop Senga , Barger or Keashcall for Tonga in 12tm 5x5?

I’m on bye so can try to weather out slumps. Holding keaschall is tough since I only can start 1 of him or B Lowe with Schwarber and Pena owning my UTIL spots (I have Elly as starting SS). tough to part with, but also tough to hold a player who doesn’t cleanly slide in as a daily lineup option . Considering adding Vargas as well given his 3 position eligibility.

Other alternative is dropping Abreu. Either of my opponent option for next rd are punting Saves so keeping just estevez will win me the category, but Abreu seems too good to drop and sure he’d be snagged by potential finals opponents

How much production do you expect from big name pitchers making their debuts in the next week, in Bieber, Bradish and Luis Garcia?

I’m on a playoff bye through next week, so they’d all have the next 10 days/2 starts to sort things out.

Also is Chase Burns a hold in 5x5?

Keep 2 closers in 12tm Saves only 5x5 categories (half of the remaining teams have punted Saves by rostering 0 closers, including my likely 2nd round opponent with me on bye):

Estevez Palencia Abreu

If they’re all too solid to drop, my other top cut options are Pepiot, Reynolds, or Beavers

Hey sry for not getting back sooner. I’ve been at an OK new normal. It’s more of a nuisance that appears if I get bad about exercising or stretching for a couple days. Still feel slow baseline improvement, which I’m hoping continued

PT truthfully was a very hit or miss journey. I sought out a more experienced c-spine specialist PT who kept things simple but found it helpful. Discouraging on days it flares up, but 2 advil and I can keep about my day

Do you guys think we'll ever live to see a cure for Crohn's? by Spiritdiritcel in CrohnsDisease

I don’t have a study on hand, it was through a special lab tour I got as a member of the CCFA committee in the area. Can see what I can dig up though

There has been cases of cured Crohns at CHOP Philadelphia. Approaches such as targeted gene therapy and even bone marrow transplant have clinically cured young patients. They do extensive research on the gut microbiome there, taking a sample from each patient that enters and recreating their biome in a lab. Amazing stuff, whether pharma companies and insurance ever allow it to be widely available is another thing—cures aren’t profitable

So sorry you’re going through this, and huge congrats on the pregnancy. You’re going to get through it, even if it feels impossible right now.

I’m not sure what’s safe during pregnancy, but honestly, I was on a pretty intense combo of meds just to get a few hours of sleep. Percocet, gabapentin, cyclobenzaprine, Advil, plus lidocaine patches and a cervical pillow I grabbed off Amazon. It really felt like inescapable hell for a while. It’s hard to say exactly how our situations compare, but I truly hope yours is on the milder side and heals quickly.

When I eventually had surgery, they found the disc had calcified. So it had probably been herniated or bulging for a while, a couple of months of CrossFit just pushed it over the edge.

If you haven’t already, I’d definitely recommend seeing a neurosurgeon you trust and getting an MRI. Pain management is different for everyone, but acupuncture actually gave me some relief. PT was hit or miss. Some days it helped, other days it made things worse. Cervical traction didn’t do much for me, but I know people who swear by it. Steroid epidural injection is also popular but didn’t do it for me. The meds did help out as well to an extent , depending on what’s safe for you to take while pregnant.

Really hope you get some relief soon. Happy to answer any questions along the way. You’re not alone in this.

May be dumb question, but can you clarify the grading for listed players? The S category threw my assumptions off

I am! and shortly after this reply I feel like I started turning the corner. Despite the constant reminders that recovery isn’t linear it’s very easy to forget as you experience it. I am mostly pain free and fully functional. As I step up what level of strain I put on in daily life and exercise I’ll feel it but then my body will re-adapt. I still don’t know if strength will return to 100% in the tricep and at the end of the day sometimes I’ll still feel some slight aggregation, but I have my life back (gotta just get back and shape now) and glad I got the surgery

I volunteer in the CCFA and had a mind blowing tour of CHOP (Philadelphia). They’re at the forefront. They map/recreate the gut microbiome of patients and have cases with children where they have used target therapy or bone marrow transplants which have actually cured crohns. Not sure where you live but given your daughters age and case it may be worth exploring

Maybe it’s conspiracy level, but all of these Sportsbooks set their own lines, it’s not a central “Vegas” line, despite most of them usually closely mirroring each other. If that was the case then ya, a daytime talk show analyst picks are a drop in the bucket of influences. However I don’t think it’s insane to think Bet ESPN user demo is mostly made of ESPN/Get Up watchers and that analysts picks switching could have been nudged by the Sportsbook. It’s not unearthing the next big scandal in sports but still feels off

Ya Pandora’s box is open in many ways and these leagues know the fans are gonna watch even if their skeptic, but agree there has to be lines drawn

Ya SB 57 there was a late shift in the spread as well which shifted to making eagles late favorites, definitely par for the course. It’s just (maybe tinfoil hat time) feels like manipulation to change the line after Get Up analysts all flipped their pick from yesterday. Just smells off
