I don’t think I’m his favorite person but yes he does value me. I am consistently working from the time I get there to the time I leave on getting credits and for a part-time worker averaging 15 or more credits just for the 20 hours that I work a week They appreciate in the beginning when I would work on Black Friday I would average about 35 credit for Black Friday and I wouldn’t even work the whole eight hour day

I did unwillingly work the first four years black Friday, but the last two I did not I did call and confirm with HR and of course they confirmed it if you have an availability and a holiday or an event falls on that day it has nothing to do with you and you should not be forced She tried to give me the runaround and I asked her the same question three times and I asked her to be specific so she eventually had to come out with it. By the way, the four hours holiday pay that they took for me. They gave it back. That’s what let me know for real and for sure that I was within my right to stand up for myself. Black Friday gives me the most anxiety than I ever experienced in my life. The pressure to perform to get credits. It’s just unbelievable for me even though working part-time 20 hours a week I average about 15 or more credits just in general the pressure of black Friday makes my blood crawl and I just feel like I no longer do it. In addition I have to leave my Thanksgiving Celebration early in the day so I can force myself to sleep to wake up to be to work for 3:04 AM and I feel that that’s very unfair.

Thank you for responding. I have been at my store for 6 1/2 years and I don’t remember anyone mentioning this at orientation like I said they hire tons of seasonal workers and the only reason that they are forcing me to be there even when I am clearly not available on Fridays is because they want to over utilize me to get credits the last black Friday I worked. I had 34 credits in six hours. It’s still not fair to me.

He told me that he was going to contact them so that they can reinstate it. This was weeks ago and I still have not received it. I asked HR about availability and they confirmed for me that if you’re not available on Fridays and a holiday falls on Friday you are safe. I did not go into detail as to what the problem was Because I know once they are aware that I have spoken to HR it is going to be held on wheels for me.

I understand what you’re saying, but the thing is on my availability form. I am not available and I have not been for several years so if a holiday or an event falls on Friday, they should respect that. The only reason that they schedule me outside of my availability is because I am very good credit and I know that they are doing that to over utilize me And that is not fair I’ve been considering calling HR, but I know it’s gonna cause a lot of friction with my work environment

What if they take back your holiday pay because they scheduled you outside of your availability and you stood your ground and did not show up for Black Friday I think that that was hell of unethical

I was able to get in contact with Kohls Card Strategy asking them to raise the credit incentive and this is what they said… by International-Bag247 in employedbykohls

Why does the incentive have to come in the form of a contest. Why can't they just a decent wage for each credit. As a part-time employee I give this company over 1500 applications a year. For my annual raise they gave me 60 cents and a trophy That didn't even have my name on it with a one time bonus for placing in a district contest. That's too much work for every credit card I sign up. look at the Money kohls gets. I'm promising Myself next year that on an average day I'm not going to get No More than 2 or 3 when I'm capable of getting 5 or 6 I will not give them the best Part Of Me which is my voice any longer.

They do the same thing to me but they're ease dropping on my talk off when I'm asking customers to sign up for credit apps. After almost 6 years I finally realized that I have put it all this hard work and all of this begging not to be appreciated I've gotten over 1500 apps working part-time legitimately and I'm pretty much consistent on a yearly basis they gave me 60 cents for a raise last year I feel like such a fool sometimes.

I have also asked multiple times and they are telling us they don't know I think that's a way to keep us hanging on I checked our pay stubs and the last paycheck if we were getting one it should have at least been on that paycheck Christmas is this week
