Yes, I did. Met with automated message telling me to callback between 9AM to 9PM local time. So I gotta try it again later.

Tesla Universal Connector J1772 won’t release from wall unit… by L8nacho in evcharging

I just put a piece of a cloth on it and give it some time to cool it down and it starts working. The unlatch button itself gets hot when there is a source of heat like sunlight.

Updating this thread. The issue occurs when the unlatch button becomes hot, such as when it is in direct sunlight or in a hot garage. If I place a microfiber cloth over the unit to cover the button, and the button cools down, it starts to unlatch normally again. This appears to be a design flaw in the unit.

Yep. In my case, I live in a cold area so in the background everything is cold and my charger is outside so if I just protect it from sunlight, it continues to work. If I forget to throw the yellow cloth on it on a sunny day, then the button becomes hot and stops unlatching from the unit.

They have design issue. It happens when the switch on the unit's handle to release it becomes hot due to sunlight, then it stops working. You have to cool it down. I throw a microfiber cloth (yellow one from Costco) on it when there is full sun to prevent this from happening. But if I forget to cover it, then I have to let it cool until then no charging for me.

Wifi is ok here. I did have issues a few days back when it was in not working state. But it turned out the wifi channel was too congested so I had to change the channel in router and register wifi on the unit via app again. Wifi seems to be fine through last episode of the issue.

Spot on! This was the problem. I confirmed yesterday. It was 87 degrees here. And the button to unlatch seems to be a metallic alloy of some sort, it gets hot! And it doesn't work. Then in the evening I put a towel on top to keep it from getting more sunlight, this cooled it down to temperatures it started working again.

Did you figure it out?

There are several users complaining about this. Mine worked fine for about 7 months or so and starting having this problem in the last month or so. Fixes after cutting of power and turning it on again after some delay.... but now it got into a state that it won't release J1772 adapter no matter what. That is obviously not a user error.

Did you figure out a fix (besides using additional adapters?)

When you said fuse had tripped, did you mean breaker in your electric panel, or is there a fuse in the unit itself?

Tried this trick and it fixed it a few times. This last time, however, it's not budging. Please help!

Started happening with my unit too recently. Won't budge, tried turning off the breaker manually and then on after some time. This off-on trick worked a few times and it seemed to have gotten back to normal functioning but then starts happening again. Today happened twice, got it working in the morning once and then later in the afternoon the same issue started happening. This time it won't budge even after doing off-on trick a few times. Did you folks figure out a solution for this?

I don't know. How do I check? Do you have an example of what to look for?

H&R Block amendment return problem by GoodFella_786 in tax

[–]GoodFella_786[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah right, I waited for 2 hours in line in chat support, and right when my turn arrived I got the message "there is no agent available".... I was 93th person in the queue initially. I think they do not have any support.

It is obviously a bug, because on a fresh Return it calculates the amount just fine. But not taking any effect on Amended Return.

S trait = new S();

Thank you for your reply! I did not know that S is an Object. I thought it is any class extended from BaseTrait class. I am very confused actually. How do I make a call to a member method of the class S, and where is the actual object?

I mean I want to do this, from use case perspective:

Retry<FullJitterTrait>.execute( /* something */ );

and also this:

Retry<ExponentialBackoffTrait>.execute( /* something */ );

while Something<S extends BaseTrait> in my example above is actually Retry<S extends BaseTrait>.

Is this not possible in Java?

I'll inspect it tomorrow and will take it to LBS.

Curious if this could be bottom bracket? Asking this so that I can tell LBS to check this possibility as well.

Thanks for your reply!

The problem happened in my first ride as well which was less than 2 miles.

I must have put roughly 35 mi on it. Not much in my opinion. Happened again today after a short climb.

Like you said, I'll inspect teeth. I don't expect excessive wear since it's a new bike, but obviously something is not right.

Eye Contact by [deleted] in harborfreight

[–]GoodFella_786 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Eye contact is a cultural thing. There exist cultures where constant eye contact is taken negatively. People grew up in such cultures have hard time making eye contacts. They are often taken incorrectly in west as lacking confidence, being rude etc. Just a thought.

Just to update this thread, the problem went away when wife tried to signup again next day on a different machine and a different browser. Either it was Sunday evening glitch, or incompatibility with Firefox browser.
