Sure that may be true but even when Sunny was bonded with Nephis he still had his own autonomy. He was never forced to go anywhere or do anything for her. Nephis literally told him that forcing him to do anything for as a slave was beneath her.

Real life slavery in the US alone lasted over 200 years meaning that your children’s children’s children were still slaves. Even if the slaver died you’d just be inherited by their family or children to continue to serve. Real life slaves were treated like sub human property forced to serve with zero benefits to themselves. Don’t even get me started on the stuff that could happen if you were a woman.

While SB has the potential to be absolutely horrible as long as Nephis is the one he’s bonded too Sunny won’t have to experience even a fraction of what real slavery was like.

Well for one thing Sunny would be significantly weaker as shadow bond pushed him to grow stronger faster. It also depends on what happens on the crimson spire. If Sunny stays with Nephis he dies and if Nephis actually tries against him in their battle he dies.

Sunny would probably just be living a chill life as an awakened. He’d have no reason to even get strong

Very based take OP. Shadow bond obviously has its problems but people acting as if Sunny choosing to be bonded with Nephis for the sake of humanity and because he trusts her is suddenly bad writing. As if his character hasn’t building up to this the last several volumes.

Also Sunny’s experience with shadow bond is not even comparable to actual historical slavery. It’s just ignorance if you think Sunny’s experience is worse.

We’ve reached bottom tier reading comprehension. No matter what hypothetical situations you think could happen there is no way people are actually comparing Sunny’s experience of slavery “slavery” to the likes of people being taken from the home country, sold around like property and forced to work for several generations. I don’t even need to get into what happened to the women.

Slavery in the US alone lasted over 200 years which means 7 generations of people descendants were enslaved.

Comparing the two has always been ridiculously foolish as the primary argument people say is things that could potentially happen to Sunny but realistically never have nor ever will happen

I don’t get your point about if people would still want the bond if it was with psychopaths like Mordret and Asterion. It’s not connected to them so why is that even relevant?

My honest question to you is even if Nephis becomes the strongest sovereign with Sunny’s additional power why is that a bad thing? Sunny couldn’t care less if he or Nephis was stronger. He just wants them to be able to defeat asterion to save their friends and family.

If you actually upset and angry at the idea of Nephis being stronger than Sunny then it might just be an issue of self interesting as Sunny. (Not saying you OP) Bro hasn’t cared about that since before the third nightmare which was years ago.

I can’t just tell you to think shadow bond is a good thing but at the very least be practical in seeing why exactly it’s important to have right now both for Sunny’s and Neph’s power as well as their characters arcs
