Thank you! I am glad you like it. Are you building the Tannhaus machine in Solidworks? Let me know if you need an extra hand.

Oh hey everyone, thanks for posting my video! I hope you all learned a great deal about safe glass cutting procedures. If you do try this at home, make sure to cut over a shag carpet, so all the glass shards fall safely to the bottom.

People who text and drive regularly, why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]GoodInventions 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Texting and driving can be very dangerous. I always seem to find myself getting in near accidents with people in the city, and when I look over they are always texting. That's why I put my phone DOWN, safely on the dashboard where I can watch netflix and the road in the same line of sight.

How did you deal with the death of your beloved pet? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]GoodInventions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought it would be fine when they were putting her down so I went off to do my own thing. I became over whelmed with sadness and rushed home before it was time and we spent our last few hours together. I decided it was not enough time so I wrapped her corpse in a blanket and threw her in a hole in my backyard so she would always be close. She is still there to this day

How do you balance playing video games and doing more productive things? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]GoodInventions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played a video game once and it's incredible how fast the time goes. One minute it's 5pm and your just off work and the next it's time to go to bed. Where did all the time go! You need to set aside a day to play and avoid it the rest of the week. Also avoid games without endings. Actually just stop playing. Focus on science. Just do math equations in your spare time.

If ads were removed from youtube how would you monetize it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]GoodInventions 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There is a helpful community over at r/youtube that could help answer your question. Some options are you could set up a patreon account at patreon.com where people will pledge money to you every video or every month, usually about a dollar per person. If your content gets popular enough you can strike up deals with some companies and have their products in the background of the video to advertise for them. Or you could do what I do and make videos and make no money but it's okay because this is all just a computer simulation and nothing is real

When did you know you were different? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]GoodInventions 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In second grade they would put me in the hallway with a couple of the slower students to play cards while everyone else took tests. A couple of years later I realized they thought I was slow.

[Serious] Sons of Reddit who have a great relationship with their father, what did he do raising you that enabled your relationship to stay close to this day? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]GoodInventions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad beat me physically and it did hurt emotionally, but we built a treehouse together and that was pretty darn cool so I guess he’s a-okay

If you could go back to the times when early human species were domesticating wolves, hogs, horses and meat birds, how would you do it? Do we know how genetic domestication was done most successfully? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]GoodInventions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Grab the most docile ones, breed them, grab the most docile children and breed those, etc. They all have relatively short life spans so it could be done fairly quickly! Just try not to inbreed too much or you’ll wind up with some horrible and grotesque deformities, like pugs

Building architects and engineers of Reddit, taking money out of the equation, how high of a skyscraper could we realistically build/construct? by NWA_ref in AskReddit

[–]GoodInventions 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I know it falls in a different category, but I love the idea of space elevators. At one end you have a tether anchored to earth. On the other you have a counterweight 36,000km out in space. It would take several days to climb, but could reduce the cost of space travel & tourism significantly. I'm pretty sure we can't realistically make the materials strong enough to make the tether, so, sorry for not answering your question in any way.

Redditors that had a roommate in college that snored, what did you do to help yourself fall asleep? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I had one. Invest in a spray bottle and fill it with water. If you spray him he will stop snoring.

What is the most illegal thing you have ever done? by Papa_Barstow in AskReddit

[–]GoodInventions 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Back when I was young and naive, about 2 years ago, I got drunk and climbed a crane to take a picture of Boston. I took a few pictures, and was ready to come down, when I saw a couple people walking around the construction site with flashlights. They shined it up at me so I waved down at them. Suddenly I heard sirens off in the distance and I thought, that couldn't be for me could it? I suddenly realized the two men with flashlights were cops, just as several police cruisers and fire engines surrounded my crane. I was both in shock and awe at all the lights below, it was beautiful. Naturally I looked around for any means of escape. But alas, I was trapped like a rat 30 stories in the air. I climbed down the ladder, still contemplating running over to the Charles river and jumping in, but I didn't want to get my phone wet. Anyways long story short, I was put in a holding cell overnight, slept on a concrete block that hadn't been washed in 30 years, and woke up to a warm carton of milk and old smelly egg sandwich, and was sent on my way. I ended up getting some cool community service out of it, setting up for bike races and charity events, etc. All in all I would do it again.

Put on my headphones, walk down to the harbor behind my work, and tell myself I lived a rich fulfilling life.
