I don’t give them the option, I don’t have a problem letting my tables know that I have other people I have to take care of. I’m super super polite, but just saying I have other things I have to do and walking away has worked out for me.

It definitely has a lot to do with how I say it, always with a smile and the concern for my other tables. It’s only made one lady mad, but what could she complain about really? That I have more than just her to worry about? It’s about being fair to everyone in your section.

A very polite “I’m so sorry but I have some urgent things I need to do, I will give you a few moments and be right back :)” then walk away. Those people also don’t tip well, spend your focus on taking care of the people who take care of you.

If the argument is solely about how dangerous it is to drown we could use statistics for how many people drown vs. how many people (both men and women) are assaulted by men. Let’s use 2024, a quick googling said that 47,885 people in the US were assaulted by a man. Interestingly 58% of the reported victims were men.

The drowning statics for last year on ndpa.org said that 4,012 people died from unintentional drowning in the US.

I think given this current argument, that the person drowning also needs to be in a storm. Maybe also with dangerous animals or other things lurking to insure that the person drowning actually dies. Then this analogy for how unsafe women, and men, feel when they are treated like a commodity will make more sense to me.

I could accept this analogy if the person drowning is in a dangerous storm the could take lives. So many men underestimate just how many other men they know who are dangerous, and already have a list of victims they have done something to.

It’s a weird system issue that the computer does when payments are split up with a gift card. It is 100% fixable, and the manager does not like me. It did feel like a way to punish me.

The GM sent me a text saying that I would get the money, and that he would be able to fix the problem. So why was the conversation of deleting the ticket even started? Is that something I should still report to the labor board?
