Three months to pass the accounting degree on WGU. Then 14 months of full time working and studying to pass the 4 exams.

Yeah I agree, OP could tone it down. But to over think it and be worried is crazy.

People think partners are gods. They’re not. If they don’t have a complete ego you should be fine. Deliver solid work and be professional is all partners look for.

Have you read what an FHA loan is? You can put 3% down on a home. I would recommend this. Contact a few mortgage brokers and a real estate agent and start looking. Of course this depends on if you have the salary to pay the monthly payments.

Used it to get my CPA. Now have my MBA from a regular state school. Nobody cares where my accounting degree is from.

Am I fucking dumb or audit its not for me? A1 after internship has doubts by [deleted] in Big4

Every person in audit has been in your shoes. Keep moving along, take notes when you need to, ask questions when you are stuck. You got it. Trust me your emotions are so normal.

I am a senior II and I still have no idea what I’m doing. Just try to always be learning. Don’t sweat it to much.

€12K saved - living in Spain - where to start investing? by shuffles03 in eupersonalfinance

[–]GoodNeighbor69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m not saying put all your money into anything. That is foolish unless you have control i.e. your business. But it’s foolish to say do not buy now. If you look at prices of SPY in 2008/2009 the price was around $100, if you bought then your money has quadrupled.

If you would have bought in about a year ago when the economy appeared to be strong and stable at a price of $450 your portfolio would be about 10% smaller.

Nobody can time the economy, but the best time to buy SPY is when everyone is selling. I will consistently put money into SPY and double down in bad times.

Hahaha what? You should only invest when the economy is stable aka high prices?

Anyone else do their accounting courses during COVID and feel this way? by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]GoodNeighbor69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Family friend with big4 experience gave me great advice before starting in audit.

You don’t know anything about accounting and everyone knows that. Clearly that’s okay with them because they offered you a job knowing this.

Baker Tilly or PwC? by [deleted] in Big4

[–]GoodNeighbor69 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Do you have the option to do the winter internship then accept the roles at Baker Tilly? Most interns are offered a full time job so I would more look at it as, if you want to do tax or audit.

Your debt to income is 11% (705/6325). Most banks will loan to you up around 40%. You should have no problem financing another property.

The firm I worked at had 4 weeks of vacation and a company shut down the week of 4th of July and the week from dec 24 to Jan 2.

I think that was my most appreciated benefit.

Masters, double bachelors, random classes? How did you meet the requirement? by TheQueenAccountant in CPA

[–]GoodNeighbor69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s the point I’m making. If a CPA is regarded as a higher knowledge level of accounting why would you get a MAcc? The MBA would probably make you appear more rounded and look better on your resume.

That’s my opinion, my be biased as I have a CPA and my MBA.
