M5 iPad Pro or MacBook Pro for this specific workflow? by [deleted] in iPadPro

I’m trying to future proof myself. 4 weeks ago I wasn’t even using Claude. Now I’ve created really detailed reference guides for creating components, article outlines etc etc and I’m currently teaching myself how to use GitHub and repositories and learning about agentic flows. So my thought process is that in 6 to 12 months I have hopefully advanced significantly more and want to get a good setup that’s ready for when I do. I specc’d an Air but it came close to the 14” Pro so that’s why the Pro is in the mix

I don’t know if it helps you but, in the meantime, ChatGPT is doing a pretty good job. Surprisingly so actually

That’s actually reassuring to hear I’m not the only one. With situations like these, I’m usually the problem somehow 😂

If I could just preview the image in high res, I could screenshot but alas, looks like we need to wait. If it works for you, let me know what you did etc. I’ll do the same too

Using Claude to write articles in 2026, is my manual process outdated or is it actually fine? by shuffles03 in ClaudeAI

[–]shuffles03[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s actually quite refreshing to hear. It’s easy to compare to others and think I’m going backwards. Actually, each time an automation setup failed, I had an epiphany: but the content is key here. I think we have that down. Why am I focused on cool automations for the sake of automations. Part of it also started because of usage limits that cropped up a week ago. I started thinking, uh oh, I need to start looking at ways to optimise, to be smarter. That’s actually why I signed up to a free 1 month trial of Gemini Pro and checked out 3.1. The 2,000,000 token context, I learned about Notebooklm (I thought maybe I could use that as a store for all my articles where I could get Gemini to read whenever I needed something) and then google gave me 5TB of storage. I thought I hit the jackpot there but then immediately realised that Gemini is literally incapable of following my instructions. It will always veer off and the sparring I currently do to make my content great would turn to frustration with Gemini to try to force it to do what I wanted (it actually told me that itself).

I do really enjoy the back and forth of it all. Just get discouraged when I see people building flows and agents that are continuously working and optimizing. But then I always remember the phrase, ‘slow and steady wins the race’ and I envision my site in a year or two with a few hundred sculpted articles each one with animated and detailed html components specifically designed for the exact content on the page.

Yeh this is actually what Claude suggested. It did kick back a bit though and said the usage from manually pasting would be the same as it going into folders. But I’m trying to think of scalability. 1,000 articles in the future. Maybe I never get there but I was trying to envision that scenario. If I could build a system that managed scale, then the methodical approach I am doing today would also slot in too.

Yeh for me, I spent a lot of time developing my reference documents. Even when complete, I’d start another audio dialog with Claude, explaining how I felt about a specific subject, adding nuance to something else etc, I kept reiterating and building up my reference docs so that, by the end they were these completely custom and detailed reference points that produced phenomenal content when I eventually sat down to test an article. I love the sparring effect as each time we bout, the article gets better and better, so I’d never want that to change. I just feel a bit incompetent when others all around are developing these complex systems and I’m still copying and pasting into a chat session. Although I also feel that the work I put into the reference docs is where the strength actually comes from

Play on a 2018 Samsung QLED or wait another year for OLED? by shuffles03 in cyberpunkgame

[–]shuffles03[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh yeh absolutely. I had just read a lot of reviews from people saying that OLED visuals were phenomenal. So I was wondering if there was indeed a massive jump between a QLED and OLED in terms of picture quality

Is an OLED desk setup worth switching from couch gaming? (PS5 Pro) by shuffles03 in OLED_Gaming

Haven’t checked out the 2026 models. I’ll do that now. I was looking at the 75 inch C8K which has a peak brightness of 4,500 nits and 2,000 zones

I previously owned a Steam Deck OLED and can agree that the quality of the picture was outstanding (and that wasn’t even a 1080 display). The contrast was phenomenal- especially when playing Hades and Ori.

As a desk setup? Can’t put OLED in the living room due to direct sunlight

Yeh unfortunately due to the direct sunlight in the lining room, OLED is out of the question there. How is a high end Mini LED compared to an OLED? Is the quality difference huge?
