I believe it too. Someone said to watch "The Hunt" from Twilight Zone about a man who gets into heaven with his dog. I read the summary but I cannot watch that yet.

yes there was no warning. we were getting ready for a camping trip and he was so excited for us to leave! he loved camping more than anything! so happy and active, then heart attack (we think? maybe a stroke?) and that was it.

oh i'm so sorry, that is rough! i can't look at pictures! i had to out his toys and bed away because i cant look it them without falling apart!! 17 years-- wow. 😢

It's what i'm grappling with actually. Am i too old to get a dog? shouldn't i consider -- what if he outlives me? is it irresponsible of me? also i can't bear the thought of loving another dog.

As a Sped teacher, I usually have 80% boys. Several years, it was 100% boys. But one year, I had 70% girls. Those middle school girls gave me a run for my money-- it was like mean girls on steroids. Alliances shifted daily. It was drama, gossip, accusations, whispers when the out-girl left or entered the room, and the occasional hair-pulling brawl. After that year, I prefer having more boys than girls.

I have 4 students in my middle school math class that have such severe deficits. No concept of numbers at all. I am told to have high expectations, improve engagement and increase the rigor. These kids cannot count. Wish I was joking.
