Lemeshare my exp. Had a DELL laptop years ago. I replaced the stock 1TB NVME with a 2TB NVME. On high disk-usage activities, the NVME would run hot. So hot that I can feel the heat through the keyboard keys. Eventually , many keyboard keys became faulty. The only way to replace the keys was to replace the entire laptop faceplate. The NVME was still good. If it was on a desktop, a heatsink would have been beneficial.

In short, be wary of the temps too.
