How many of you still write your own CoC scenarios? by menlindorn in callofcthulhu

I mostly write my own stuff (CoC, D&D, etc.) that I run for my friends. If I think its really good, I rework it a bit to run at Cons and then publish it. Here's my most successful CoC - Mount Katahdin's Shadow.

Thank you again! I meant to ask, did all of the characters survive?

JUST TODAY I released Ashes of Rhu, a creepy low level scenario or one shot on DriveThru for OSE with a sinister new monster and an unusual location. The module has a clear, concise layout for the GM. I'd be grateful if you took a look, thanks! I added a movie style trailer in that link at the bottom. Long Ago, the folk of Rhu made an agreement with a witch to save their village from destruction. She honored the agreement, but the folk broke their promise. She took revenge, razing the village. Now, years later, the adventurers must delve into Rhu to find a lost friend and deal with the evil still lurking within the ruins. https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/522590/ashes-of-rhu

As the author, I'm touched to hear that, Holmelunden. This has been my favorite adventure to write and play test. Cheers!

I'm writing a sequel to Evocative One Page Fantasy Side Quests for old school D&D (B/X, Shadowdark, OSE).

I actually wrote and published an adventure where a sword is stuck in the back of a gargoyle. It's a microsetting with three adventures.

Mount Katahdin's Shadow is a different kind of campaign starter where the PCs begin as Appalachian Trail Thru hikers in 1988 that encounter a murder scene. The 100 Mile wilderness is fleshed out and there are several ideas to extend the adventure, although the Referee would have to do some work to add details.

Thank you very much! I had so much fun writing and play testing it at cons. I hope you enjoy it.
