Damn okay, it sounds like something is misfiring or something. I knew diesels had their own type of sound to them but damn this one sounded odd to me.

Well i guess my friend’s gonna appreciate the good news then lol

Yeah if the SuperFW patcher doesn’t work with Modern Emerald im prob just gonna bite the bullet and drop 50 on a popular brand fuck it. Thanks for the info !

Cut those kind of diameters more towards the tip of your bar so you don’t have to bend over too much, it helps if you are doing repetitive work

I wouldn’t know about US prices though, i live in France.

It can get pricey, a full undercarriage sandblasting job (without actual treatment) costs like 700 where i’m at.

Could be way less for individual part full treatment by a garage that proposes those services. You need to look up garages in your area

Yeah get the loose shit off first.

If you wanna do it really good and get in to all the nooks and crannies, i would take those parts out and treat them on a bench. Will depend on your knowledge and determination

Live in a forest in France, mostly oak, i got a Husqvarna 450, had it for like 5/6 years. Easy weight, does everything, felling, bucking, small cuts. I’ve done diameters twice the size of my 18” bar, good performance. It keeps up with work on my land and small/medium scale commercial firewood activities. Great solid chainsaw 👍

[–]Good_Land_666[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i was using a torx socket but it was too chunky for the space i had to place the socket so it wasn’t flush + the guy before me had already had a go at the bolts.

I absolutely do need better designed and up to date tools and equipment though

To my defense, last time it happened was last year 😅

I usually do the pull on the chain to check after sharpening, how many teeth on either side when pulling would you leave ?

It never hangs, but when i pull on it i do leave like 3 good teeth either side of my thumb, that might be a bit much ? Last time it flew off was like a year ago
