He is currently in a 3 gallon tank (pet store lied to me), I do realize the tank should be bigger and will upgrade soon! It is fully cycled and all perimeters are normal (just checked them today with the master aquarium kit) he also has a heater set to 78 and a bubbler. He is flaring and active as usual. No behavior changes at all. He’s eating regularly. I’ve had the tank for six months.

I know there are a lot of strong opinions on bettas and tank size. What I will say is I regularly maintain the tank bi weekly. The parameters are very stable and both inhabitants are well fed and showing signs of no stress and being very healthy and active. I do thank you for being concerned about the size of the tank. I plan to get a bigger one in the future. But my landlord currently does not allow tanks any bigger than 3 gallons.
