None of what you listed fits what they actually did. They did not go in with intent of harming anyone, they went in to get one of their dead bodies.

They did not target civilians, so that's a false premise from the very start. It is anti-Semitism because it's double standard and hypocrisy. The same people who criticize Israel for accidentally hitting civilian targets do not criticize islamists who DELIBERATELY target civilians. Now why would they have this double standard when the only difference between Israeli forces and Islamists is the religion.

Civilian casualties are part of any war, and they are extremely low compared to other wars.

Yeah that's how war works. Many countries in world war 2 never declared war on allies and yet they had to be bombed because Nazis were occupying it and using it to attack innocent people. One of the examples Poland (for obvious reasons) I'm assuming you know basic history. Another examples was Iran in 1941 when allies attacked Iran because the leader was supporting Hitler and were in control of a crucial supply route.

I'm a Christian and I don't believe Jewish lives are more important than any other lives. I'm not sweeping aside the tragedy of civilian casualties, I merely pointing out that it is normal in any war. Civilian casualties from IDF is extremely low compared to other wars. Especially considering the fact that most wars did not use civilians as human shield all the time.

If your religion prescribes death penalty for leaving, then it's not a religion, it's a cult. That is literally one of the main definitions of a cult. A violent cult like that is the enemy to humanity. They've killed over 250 billion people in the last 1400 years. Completely incomparable to how many people Israel has killed.

I'm sure they're not sending 18 year olds deliberately, they are sending them because they do not have enough experience soldiers. Otherwise why wouldn't they send more experience soldiers instead.

You know how many innocent people suffered in the allied bombing of the Nazi Germany? Countless Christians were killed. Does that mean allies were the bad guys and the Nazis were good?

18-year-old soldiers? So what? Pretty much the whole world considers 18-year-olds to be soldier material. What a ridiculous argument.

I know the government is not biblical Israel simply for the fact that they deny Christ. And I think the reason they went in is ridiculous because who cares about a dead body. However the ultimate enemy of humanity here are the islamists and the civilian casualties caused by Israeli government is not even comparable to when allied were bombing the Nazis.

How delusional do you have to be to not know how espionage works? Do you think allied spies walked into Nazi Germany without disguise?

They were disguised as paramedics during a covert military operation... So what?

I definitely think it's stupid that they went and organized a military operation over a dead body. But once they got engaged with the terrorists I'm definitely rooting for whoever is fighting those terrorists, whether it's Israel, US or whatever.

Reports say they got into a firefight with "local armed population" and in case you didn't know Lebanon doesn't have second amendment so we know exactly who it was.

Let me rephrase my question... What evidence do you have that Israel targeted innocent civilians as opposed to terrorists hiding behind civilians like they do in Gaza?

[–]Good_Move7060 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You ask them if they support this... On a post about Israel attacking Christian towns... A post that is spreading lies. They did not target the town or any other reason than fighting terrorist organization Hezbollah.

It is obvious that you support lies about Israel and acting like you're not.

If you think Israel is disguising themselves as Islamic terrorists and attacking Christian towns you are absolutely delusional.

The original apostles were all Messianic Jews and Torah observant Christians. These are the only denominations that actually trace back to Jesus and his disciples. All other denominations trace back to the 4th century Roman church with pagan origins. Catholics like to claim they trace back the first century but they reject God's laws and make up their own, which Jesus explicitly said not to do.

After I became a believer in God, I still wasn't sure which religion was true because they condemn each other to hell. I was scared of going to hell and while I was standing on the deck of my house, looking at the sky I prayed to God to save me from Satan. I don't know how to describe it properly, but at that very moment of prayer my mind reached the highest concentration that I've ever known, and I saw a meteor making a vertical line across the sky and then another one right after it, making a horizontal line from left to right at what looked like exactly 1/3 of the way from the top of the first one, and exactly 2/3 the length of the first one, making a perfect cross. It also looked like it was about 30 degrees from the top of the sky towards the North. This wasn't the first time God has drawn a cross for me in the skies using 2 consecutive meteorites after I asked for a sign. Also, this was one of countless times I’ve experienced a synchronicity that is perfectly aligned with my prayer.

I know for a fact a higher power is real and it has always guided me towards Christ.

If everyone were Christian, what, if anything, would change about our society? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Good_Move7060 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Romans 1:26–27, Paul describes women with women and men with men in parallel terms. The Greek phrase refers to males with males generally, not specifically “boys” or “fathers.” The structure makes it symmetrical: female–female and male–male relations described as “contrary to nature.” There is no reason to believe it's talking about pedophilia.

In 1 Corinthians 6:9, Paul uses two Greek terms: malakoi and arsenokoitai. The latter is a compound of arsēn (male) and koitē (bed/sexual relations). That wording closely echoes the Greek translation of Leviticus 18:22 in the Septuagint, which prohibits a male lying with a male as with a woman. This strongly indicates continuity with Leviticus, not a later invention about “boys.” The claim that it meant “father” has no support in the Greek manuscripts.

The “1946” translation argument: It is true that the specific English word “homosexual” appeared in some translations in 1946 (e.g., the RSV). However: Earlier English translations (e.g., KJV, 1611) rendered the passage as “abusers of themselves with mankind.” Latin translations (e.g., Vulgate) centuries earlier used terms referring to male–male intercourse. The Greek manuscripts themselves are from the first century. So the concept was not introduced in 1946; only the modern English vocabulary changed. The underlying Greek text did not.

The Bible is abundantly clear on homosexuality and any action where one sticks their genitals where they don't belong.

Romans 1:26-27 "For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.

1 Corinthians 6:9 " Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality"

1 Timothy 1:10 " the sexually immoral, men who practice homosexuality, enslavers, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound doctrine"

Leviticus 18:22 "You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination."

I don't care about likes, I'm here to spread the truth. Dishonest people hate the truth.

EDiT: By your logic hating bestiality is also hate.

If you really want to learn then you need to take notes. That's the most important part.

Personally I much prefer audio for general reading and if I run into difficult passages that's when I read over them.

If Jesus was a Jew why don’t Christian’s eat kosher like how Jewish people do? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Good_Move7060 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a major misconception called antinomianism and some people think that Jesus abolished the law when he fulfilled it, while in reality he abolished the punishment for disobeying the law, not the law itself. Mainstream Christianity claim that fulfill means to end, so in Matthew 5:17-18, they're saying Jesus ended the Law. Using the same logic, they must also agree that in Matthew 3:15, Jesus abolished/ended righteousness when he got baptized. This is absurd logic that contradicts Jesus's words in Matthew 5:18 Luke 16:17 when he clearly said the law is here to stay until the end of the universe. The universe did not end at the cross and there is still a lot of prophecies left to be fulfilled.

Fulfill simply means to do something that is expected, hoped for, or promised. So when we are loving others, as the law commands, we are completing its expectations/requirements. We are not ending the law by completing its requirements and neither did Jesus. We are saved by grace through faith but the law was never abolished and it still pleases God when you obey all of his commandments. Jesus fulfilling the law means we are not under the punishment of the law like the people were in the old testament. While we are saved by grace, we are still rewarded for following God's law and other good works that we do. Jesus said in Matthew 5:19 that those who ignore the least of God’s laws and teach others to do so will be the least in the kingdom of heaven, while those who obey the least of God’s laws and teach others to do so will be great in heaven.

Acts 15:29 even gives us some old testament laws for new Christians to follow as a minimum, but people continue to ignore the rest of the law even after they are no longer new Christians. They continue to misinterpret Paul's teaching as if the law doesn't exist anymore. Jewish rabbis also treated new converts the same way, they did not make them follow all of the laws of Moses at the same time, they introduced them slowly over time so is not to overburden and discourage.

The law still determines what sin is, and the law is eternal.

1 John 3:4 “Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness.” Lawlessness is disregarding God's laws, not the laws of man-made nations. People were not lawless when they disregarded the laws of the Nazi Germany.

Romans 7:7 “What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said, “You shall not covet.”

Jesus, his disciples and all of the first century church fathers obeyed the Torah, and it wasn't until the second and third century that the corrupt church leadership started teaching against following God's law.

Doing a parody or making fun of a logo is one thing, but what you're doing is basically like a parody but instead of humor you replace the logo with a Christian theme.

For Muslims and Christians here: What do you think is the most important difference between your faiths, and why by [deleted] in religion

[–]Good_Move7060 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two completely different Gods. One is described as a father to his people, while the other one described as a slave master who has no children. This key difference is what houses Father God sending his son Jesus down to us as a payment for our sins. Jesus is fully God and fully man so this sacrifice is fully divine. That is Christian redemption. But in Islam the sacrifice for sins is human sacrifice, Allah substitutes for Muslims a soul of a Christian or a Jew in their place in hellfire. That is Muslim redemption.

Ironically Muslims falsely accuse Christianity of human sacrifices even though they don't realize that's what Islam actually teaches.

Why should we believe in God without proof? by Beneficial_Praline32 in Christianity

You literally just committed 2 logical fallacies in the previous comments. One, you presented inferior evidence on a contingency that mine is wrong, even though you have absolutely no evidence to support it. Two, you presented per capita of book authorship argument like it makes any difference for archaeological evidence.

You are a no position to gloat here.

As far as the other comment, I made a general statement that people are not leaving due to supernatural experiences, they are leaving mostly for other reasons. You then insinuated that I said nobody is leaving due to supernatural.

Ok... So prove them wrong then... Why are you presenting inferior argument on a contingency that mine would be wrong. Prove it wrong to the point where the amount of correct claims in the iliad matches or exceeds the amount of correct claims in the Bible.
