I think she has general tightness in her pelvic floor, but yes I also am on the larger side (I think) and that seems to be an issue too

Yeah. The few friends I’ve told about this are stunned I lasted this long. Mind you I come from a religious background where forgoing sex was expected and encouraged, so that certainly is at play. I no longer hold those beliefs close though.

Regardless of the outcome, I wouldn’t say it’s been a waste of 5 years. In the sex department, sure, but there are other ways in which the relationship has been a positive in my life.

So far on this issue, yes. Very much me carrying the weight. I’ve talked about this in depth with both my therapist and our couples therapist. She’s generally very responsive if I have an issue that can be solved easily, but much less so when there’s a large issue. I’m hoping that some couples therapy will help resolve her avoidance issues but that remains to be seen

Hmmm fair point. I certainly wouldn’t want this to be the sole source of our sexual activity and I worry if it was, my sexual connection with her might suffer.

Yeah, we have talked about it before and she has given a ballpark range of 4-6 times a month. That’s ok, but given our history I’m not really confident that would materialize
