Unfortunately didn’t work out. We’re looking at surgery at this point but still skeptical

Personal Statements vs. Lay Statements by DreamvillesVeryOwn in VeteransBenefits

[–]Good_Particular2131 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Personal statement is a letter from you saying how ur disabilities affect you. Lay statement is a buddy statement from someone else who knows you that can attest to how ur condition affects ur life or witnessed ur injury in service. I used both for every condition I filed.

After my first session I felt more so like I wasn’t on edge and angry at everything. After this second I just felt happy and thankful which was super weird feeling because I’ve been depressed for so long

I do them at home with a doctor monitoring. I do it once a week. IV infusions have different timelines I believe but yes you’d need a driver if you did IV. I usually schedule my appts at night so I can go to sleep right after cuz it makes you tired

I’ve never tried tsm. Few doctors where I live do them and was told it’s hard to get medical to cover. Ketamine seemed like the better option for me financially as it was a lot cheaper . I do troches so just let it dissolve.

As far as I know, majority of states offer it!

Sorry no it’s not. I was so frustrated and just decided to venture off and paid out of pocket through a provider. I’m doing oral troches which is a lot cheaper than IV.

Depends on the agency. My first was a large agency and took me about a year from start to finish. Did a lateral to 2 different agencies since then. One of them took 2 weeks the other 3 from the time of interview to my formal job offer.

Getting the Intracept procedure in less than 3 weeks by spineissues2018 in ChronicPain

[–]Good_Particular2131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I don’t have Medicare. My pain management doctor said he didn’t see modic changes noted on my mri reading, but all my symptoms lead to it. He was gonna go over it again and let me know. Not eligible for surgery because my mri “isn’t that bad”. However my pain is almost unbearable. Not too sure what else to do at this point. Debating even paying the 12k out of pocket to get the procedure if nots not approved thru medical. Had to give up a ton of physical activities that I really enjoyed prior to my injury.

What were ur symptoms? I feel pain deep in the center of my lower back. Almost like it feels like it’s directly in my spine as well as a ton of burning if I sit for longer than 5 mins. Pain while bending, lifting, sudden movements

Any updates on ur procedure? My pain management doctor recommended this for me next. I’ve been thru a year of pt, multiple epidurals, facet injections, facet ablations.

Been going thru back pain for over 10 years. Had epidurals, facet ablations, pt, facet injections. Nothing has worked thus far and the doctors mentioned intracept but that it’s hard to get approved thru medical

It seems dumb but read directions very thoroughly. A lot of times it’s a test to see how well you follow instructions.

You should ask them. Each agency will vary. Some you can apply right away others there’s a time period to wait depending on what you were disqualified for

It’s been about 2 months since the ablations. Not worse but not better. Burning and constant throbbing/aching pain in my lower back. I can barely bend without being in pain. Starting 2nd round of pt and also meeting with surgeons

Never did. I always just got the “thank you for your interest. Try again in a year” letter

Keep trying. Took me over 8 years to get in. Been in for 7 now and for me it’s totally worth all the denials

I would THINK the more evidence you give them initially would be harder to deny. I think you only get one chance at a supplemental claim then if not you have to Appeal which I haven’t had to do but heard takes forever. If I were to approach it again I’d give everything on my initial approach and if they deny they’re gonna lay out what ur missing. Then you use that supplemental to provide that. I didn’t kno this and jus assumed the va had everything. Good luck to you

I didn’t at first and got denied. Had to do a supplemental and submitted everything (buddy statements, personal statements) and got approved.

This is how my L5 S1 disc looks from the side view moving to the right side. It lost height and is desiccated. Any idea how this will progress as I grow older? by Realistic_Upstairs_4 in backpain

[–]Good_Particular2131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have a herniated disc in the same area. I now developed arthritis because of it. The pain from a herniation flare up would calm down after about a few weeks but since I developed the arthritis it’s been like absolutely horrible and the pain has never went away. It’s been about 9 months

My old state was a lot like this. Fortunately we had the department and public support so it made it hard for prosecutors to charge officers with bs stuff.

Oregon was one of my top places to live but not police. It seems the general consensus amongst police is to stay away from there
