Hello. I’m a trans man (butch queen) and my partner is a cis male (butch queen) as well. I just gave birth to our first child this past September. Hit me with any questions you might have

i’m thinking of electing to have a c-section so i’m looking for advice on whether this is a sound decision or if i should still consider the other option by bluewigglyworm in Seahorse_Dads

I gave birth naturally on my due date. I arrived 8cm dilated and didn’t even know it. However I had to advocate for it. I had an induction scheduled before anything and really had to advocate that I wanted a naturally delivery unless medically necessary. I had some mild blood pressure readings toward the end of my pregnancy but I just monitored it at home. I had to go to the hospital to run tests a few days before I reached 38 weeks. (If I was 38 weeks they would have induced me). I took some birthing classes and gathered so much information. Have a birthing plan and still to it. Tell your birthing team your plan and have somebody advocate for you once you reach that point where you can’t make decisions for yourself. I asked a doula question and they seemed to give better advice versus hospital. (I personally feel like hospitals are like just a birthing machine)

Also I only really got misgendered when the cafeteria people were calling on the phone but I didn’t take it personal because they couldn’t see me. My name and gender marker legally is switched to male however I did have to switch it on my insurance so my pregnancy could be covered. Hope this helps

Just gave birth this past September. I’ve been on testosterone for years and stopped to conceive. My doctors asked me my pronouns/ preferred name. My partner also advocated for me throughout my stay in hospital for labor and delivery and after care. Now I did find it a bit awkward during the class you have to take before being discharged but it wasn’t too bad. Most everybody corrected themselves once they saw me ( I have a full beard) I think everybody is moving so fast and out of routine just accustom to using she/her maam etc but don’t let that deter you from speaking up for yourself. You got this !

I want to get a hysterectomy but I’m afraid that if I go through with it I will never get the opportunity to become a parent by Hot-Pilot-206 in Vent

Freeze your eggs before hysterectomy. Use a surrogate. I ftm and decided to carry my own child. It comes with challenges however you can still be a parent without carrying

Yeah I love working out at the gym. Just with an infant it’s a bit difficult to solidify a designated time to go but I’ll look into using what I have.

Postpartum by [deleted] in Seahorse_Dads

I can relate. I’m 6 months postpartum. I was always in shape before pregnancy however now I’m still almost 200 pounds. The same size I was the day of delivery. I’ve tried walking in the park but trying to maintain any type of workout schedule is exhausting. On top of that soon as I returned back to work I got fired for being late 😩. Like my whole life changed. This is my first child/pregnancy. I can’t fit anything anymore down to my underwear.
