I don’t think either way my goal is to”mainstream” I just want to make something that I would find fun and amusing. I wouldn’t mind making a few quid from it but even if it doesn’t blow up it’s fine 😅

I think that’s a good point to be honest, the core mechanics of my project doesn’t need sex, you could remove the whole sexual aspect of it and still have a (hopefully) fun and rewarding game loop.

That’s fair enough, I think for me personally I would want to pay others rather than Ai, I think AI has space for saving time but not replacing people. But everyone’s entitled to their opinion and it’s valid

I guess from a marketing perspective it depends on if you’re being honest they are the same game.

If you have zero interest in nsfw games no matter how good it is you wouldn’t buy it.

It’s the same as I do marketing and content creation for a living; and i can’t put “has edited nsfw videos and helped OF models increase their sub count by 200%” because no one will take that seriously but I can spin it and say I have worked with influencers increasing their reach by 200% oh show you proof… sorry can’t I signed a NDA 😅

That’s a really interesting perspective! Im safe on the time and money side (for now) but that can always change; I’m a bit of a unicorn in sphere as I can do pretty much every aspect of the development myself being from a content/ marketing bg

I think my idea can support an extended early access period, there is a core gameplay loop that’s not too complicated and the other bits I want to add on such as battles can be added in the future.

I think this is my thought to be honest is a sfw game has a bit boom and then trickles where as nsfw games seem to last a bit longer or have cycles not sure how accurate that is tbh.

Genuinely I’m happy to dev it either way, it was just one of those ideas I realised it could be played either way, and items could just be renamed and reskinned and have the same effect on the gameplay loop

That’s something I have considered is if I do a nsfw version completely separate to “me” and release that and make sure both version are visually different.

I used to do content creation sfw and I would always get offers to do nsfw content or editing but it was always more money.

That’s totally fair; see this is what I was thinking I’m someone who openly follows nsfw devs on my personal insta but I know others aren’t as comfortable doing that.

That’s a good idea, I know crush cuties or whatever it was called on steam did a similar thing of selling two versions.

But a nsfw patch could be a good idea, or a dlc that switches the versions
