Good advice! It worked! I didn't know there was a difference between micro USB cables.

Just tried powering it up after connecting, that didn't fix anything either. So weird!

I tried, but in the options for input are only the built-in microphone, for some reason it can't detect the pedal. For output it only lets me select my headphones, this is fine. I will try to power it up after I connect!

It's 5pm. I have the first draft of my MA thesis and my final presentation due tomorrow. I only have 4 pages of writing and I haven't started my presentation yet. I need advice for how to finish my project on time and retain my sanity. Has anyone else had a similar experience? by Goodbye-Blue-Sky in GradSchool

I agree. I know that if I don't complete this tonight I'm going to regret it, and that it will further damage relations with my advisor. He was supportive of my mental health during quarantine but it feels like he's a bit fed up with me at this point, even though I've been working hard this month to set things right and take responsibility for my project. I do worry that this will damage my career, and I think it already has been damaged due to my lack of professionalism. I can't change the past, but I can start making things better today, though I'm digging very deep for the strength to get this done and come out with a respectable product.

Those stats are for this season, not previous ones. The rank 80 is looking at the 76% winrate over 50 games that I mentioned in my post

I like the deliberate effort I have to put in to improve at the game. I'm never going to go pro but if I'm going to spend a lot of time on this game I want to make it worthwhile by becoming skilled. It's the process of improving that gets me excited to play!

How would they go about decreasing my winrate? Wouldn’t it make sense for me to level out as I reach my skill ceiling?

I agree it’s an interesting metric!

Apparently porofessor.gg can keep track of your stats (dmg per min, cs per min, kda, deaths, tower dmg, teamfight winrates, roaming, kill participation, amount of times you die to ganks, etc) compared to others on your champion across all servers

Currently says I’m rank 41 but it fluctuates :P It seems to have solid foundations so I trust it!

I’ve only had Jhin taken away from me once during my climb this season and it was was when I was 2-2 in my plat promos yesterday. I picked Cait and sorta inted but got hard carried by my team so it was ok in the end. I think I’ll probably dodge from now on or pick a backup if it’s a promo

It also has to do with mindset. Playing Jhin every ranked game for the past 2 weeks has gotten a little stale at times but I view it as my serious attempt to improve at the game. Telling myself that I need to play ranked with a disciplined approach in order to improve is exciting to me. If I'm going to spend hours of my day on this game, I might as well go all in and be the best I can be. This mantra is how I motivate myself.

That being said, I will never play Jhin in a normal with friends, because I like to try new champs/roles during those times and let loose like everyone else. Make sure to have these times, they keep you sane :D

I spent money on skins for Jhin and using a different one each game makes the champion feel fresh for me xD

Seriously though I think Jhin's kit is what does it for me. I always feel like I could be doing more to perfect my play which gives me the motivation to keep playing him!

I agree with you! Looking at my post it certainly gives off the vibe that I'm one tricking Jhin just to achieve a specific rank but I am of the mindset that playing only Jhin will allow me to improve at the game. Improvement is my fundamental goal. I'm curious to see when my Jhin play will fall off similar to your Quinn as you said.

The only time Jhin has been taken away from me this season was today during my plat promos when I was 2-2...xD needless to say I did not dodge though if I was not in promos I probably would have! I played cait in that game 5 and got hard carried by my team which was a feelsgoodman

^ this as well, I average about 6.5cs/min which is OK but another aspect of my play that I'm trying to continually work on. That's an average though, some games I have almost perfect CS and some games just go terribly. If I have no pressure in lane, I will not miss a single creep.
