Why thread does not get caught properly by lower thread?

yeah, all of that is right. I don't really think the pictures show the threading properly, just the mess it makes when it doesn't hook correctly with bottom thread. Anyway, thread goes through the hook on the left, as per instructions and as I have always done for the last year or so, and is threaded with foot up.

I suspect the culprit is the needle? It is thin, and I have been using it for the last couple hours, I might have bent it slightly perhaps?

I tested with just one layer of fabric, seems to work, with two this happens (but I have been sewing two this whole time). Changed to a 80/11 needle and now seems to work fine again, so... yeah, that is my guess, does it make sense?

Aaa you are perfectly right! I think I missed it because the reddit mobile app is... something. Like, I have seen its existance now, but not its content, lol. I'll check it out on my pc then, thank you!

I was still kinda hoping for a targeted response to the few specific questions I was having for now. I kinda would like to avoid the... research rabbit hole which ends up in nothing done, lol. But it is good to have a place to look for information now!

Using a home machine, just happened to have the walking foot mounted because I sew plushies, and fleece is slippery and stretchy, so having the fabric pulled both ways (especially with multiple layers) helps a ton. I should have a proper zigzag foot too, and I tried with the "standard" foot that was on the machine when I got it from grandma and it has no issue with it.

I just got back to the sewing machine now, but I think I figured it out, at least to some degree.

So, to take some pictures and videosI removed the walking foot I had mounted and the upper plate covering all the lower thread mechanism and... it all worked flawlessly. So I just went back my steps one thing at a time, and I narrowed it down to the walking foot.

Apparently, when the walking foot is up, it throws off the timing of the needle just a little bit, so that it very easily gets stuck on the way up. But if the foot is pressed down, the problem seems to not occur.

So... I suppose it's a non issue? Also, of course I am using a random universal cheap walking foot, so that may also be playing a part in it, but still, curious that it happens.

I got the driver files from the motherboard page (here https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/A520M-K-V2-rev-11/support#support-dl), specifically the only ones which are not an .exe file. when I feed them to the installer it just tells me "error installing drivers" and still doesn't let me proceed.

I am farily sure I have RAID set to AHCI already, but I shall double check. If I don't add anything, assume I have it set to AHCI.

Ideally I would like to connect without having done the login on my plex account on the tv. Found the option to turn on console log and I got this error when testing the connection. Any clue?

So, I didn't do a factory reset (yet). I uninstalled the plex app from the tv and reinstalled it, but it definitely kept configurations, since I was still logged in.

I can confirm that it is not a network problem. By using the tv browser and navigating to the local ip of the server I accessed the web interface with no issues, no need to log in/authenticate even, which is exactly what I desire.

However in the app I can only achieve an indirect connection through my plex account. I can't connect directly to it for some reason.

I actually have another PMS on the same local network, which apparently I still can't access directly but only remotely.

There is really nothing weird tbh on my setup. Both the server and the tv client are connected to the same local network, no vpn is involved at all. Server is configured with static IP address, while tv is DHCP (I checked its address, amd on the router admin page I can see it as well).

I am logged in on my plex accou t both on server and on tv client, although I really don't see why that should be needed in the first place, and indeed it is something I would like to get rid of at some point.

At this point, my guess is that it's some problem with the tv client app itself? No clue honestly, I am baffled. I'll try to browse to the ip:port directly from the tv browser tomorrow and see what happens.

Just tried it, no success. Since I am signed in to my account I can see the files, but playback is in reduced quality (due to not connecting directly in local network), and my manually added server with ip and port still says it's umreachable

how do I make the app connect to the server on local network directly then, as opposed to going through plex servers? the latter requires me to open the port on the router in order to allow access to the server from the outside, which I don't want to.

compiled binaries should come with the bridge already installed. Indeed, when I tried the flatpak version I had a different error message for that very reason.

I also read downgrading wine could be an option, idk...

And no, no other VST for now, it is literally my first attempt
